When I booked in January, it was listed as a tranquil unit. When we arrived, we discovered that a candy store now occupies the first floor. There was constant music from the store from 9:30am to 10pm. In addition, a bell rang every time someone entered the store. This was an extremely annoying distraction for what could have been a nice stay.

Our multi-night stay at 17 Housatonic Street in Lenox was WONDERFUL! It's as listed .. no better: spacious, light, comfortable, conveniently located and quiet. The bed & pillows were super comfortable, the shower delightful, the tv's both great, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a great stove, refridgerator and all the cups, glasses and utensils one could need. And John is the perfect host, helpful and prompt with reaponses to any questions. Highly, highly recommend! Tom
