Fantastic location in a pleasant ski village

If you've come to Meribel to ski, the location of this apartment can't be beat. An easy ten-minute walk (slightly uphill going, downhill on the return) takes you to the ultra-convenient Golf chairlift right in the center of the village. This lift provides access to the rest of the ski mountain. Voila. There is a cluster of essential businesses in this same village square so you can get groceries, baked goods, ski equipment, etc. without getting in a car or shuttle bus. I rented my skis at the Skiset shop in the village. For a nominal fee I was able to leave the equipment on their premises at the end of each day of skiing so I had nothing to carry back and forth. The only shortcoming to the apartment was the lack of basic amenities: dishwashing soap, paper towels, sponge, olive oil, etc., so we had to make some purchases that have not been necessary at other rentals in the past. Still, everything worked, the apartment was quiet and we had a good stay. Any time we had a question or issue the property managers responded promptly and constructively.

Not the location shown in the map!!! 15 mins to the lift with ski boots. The terrace was a mess.

The apartment is a little old but functional. 30-40% of the terrace had a huge pile of wood planks and couldn’t be used, there was no furniture (like in the pics). I have pictures to prove it. Towels not provided!!! It’s a 10-minute uphill walk to the lifts with normal shoes (15 min with ski boots… if you are traveling with kids, look for something closer to the lift). We had to take the car every day to the lift car park.

Une location parfaite

Nous avons séjourné 5 nuits dans cette location idyllique, un accueil et un service parfait de la part de l’agence immobilière CIS. L’appartement a tout le confort attendu, l’équipement est plus que complet, dans un chalet calme et a 5 minutes de marche des remontées mécaniques. Merci nous y reviendrons les yeux fermés. Bravo !

Great apartment poor response from CIS immobilier

I have stayed at this apartment several times over the past years, however last year ants were a problem and this year they recurred as a problem. I reported this and the fact the bathroom light failed as an issue within 2 days of arrival, however CIS Immobilier the local agent completely failed to address either issue, and their check in process was also a shambles, with queues in their meribel office that would make any chalet owner feel embarrassed. This apartment is great, CIS as a management company are ABSOLUTLELY TERRIBLE, I will never use them again when I stay in the 3 valleys in future (I lodge the 3 valleys, just not CIS).

Appartement agréable , deco très chaleureuse, on a apprécié l'exposition plein sud, avec cette belle terrasse, le remonte pente pour le ski est très proche , et nous emmène directement sur les 3 vallées, nous garderons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour .

L'appartement est très bien exposé , plein sud avec vue imprenable , la terrasse est grande et quand il fait beau c'est très agréable, la déco est très chaleureuse, on s'y sent bien , la cuisine est bien équipée, nous avons apprécié la chambre avec cette grande baignoire avec vue sur la montagne, la remonte pente est à proximité ce qui évite de prendre la voiture, nous avons apprécié le parking. Location propre. Propriétaire diponible pour renseignements

Grosse déception !

Nous n'avons pas la même définition du luxe que le propriétaire. Belle surface, belle vue.Appartement non fonctionnel : cuisine minuscule et lave-vaisselle lilliputien. douche minuscule et pas chauffée, baignoire sans douchette, installation éléctrique à revoir : trop de rallonges etc...stockage de matériel sous le lit, les 2/3 des placards condamnés par le propriétaire. Pas de local pour les skis. Le TV de la chambre n'est qu'un lecteur de DVD ; pas de pelle à neige pour nettoyer la terrasse. Positif : Grande TV et canapé confortable. Une cure de rajeunissement s'impose. Et pour moi "au pied des pistes" signifie que je chausse mes skis en sortant de l'appartement, ce qui n'est pas le cas.
