Beautiful Lake Murray Property
We had an amazing 4 days at this wonderful property. It was the perfect place to explore the area and unwind on the lake. Easy access to the Soda City Market, The State House, Riverwalk, Antique Mall, Congaree National Park. The sunset cruise they provide was fantastic. Kerri and Randy were excellent hosts. We made some new friends. This was a 5 star experience.

Awesome House!
This house is great! Had my dog and college age son. Plenty of room for larger groups. The hosts are super nice and we barely saw them. Lots of time and energy put into this backyard oasis. House was extremely clean! Will definitely rent again next year if back in town for baseball. Very accessible to Lexington County Baseball Complex.

Relaxing stay
We stayed at Lake Murray Paradise while I ran my ultra beast. It was a lovely relaxing place to recover after the race at. We enjoyed how quiet & peaceful it was. Our hosts were wonderful and answered any questions we had during our stay.

Game weekend with friends
This property is fairly priced, clean, and roomy. Communication with the owner was good. This is a 3BR/1BA apartment above the owners house. Everything met our expectations. The owner complained about noise on a Friday night, I would recommend something in the description about “quiet hours” so potential guests know the rules. There is a pool table and a foosball table, lots of fun for a guys trip. It’s about 25 minutes to USC campus and sporting events, fyi.

In six years of hosting I have never had the need to implement quiet times. No other guests have ever hollered and yelled at the top of their lungs over a foosball game until 11:33pm. My neighbor called to ask me if everything was all right. I then text Kevin and said " I am glad that you are enjoying yourself. However, could you quiet down just a little bit." His response was "We were being silly playing foosball. So sorry." And to their credit, they did quiet down.

Great Lake front get away
Beautiful home with great views of the lake. The host was very hospitable and the house has a hot tub, pool table, and foosball. 10 out of 10 on the relaxing stay. Thanks for the hospitality.

Great hosts, very peaceful to relax and so much to see within an hour's drive.
Kerry and Randy were very warm, welcoming and helpful. Even the neighbors were great. The unit was very comfortable, beds/linens were comfy soft. We enjoyed our conversations with Kerry and Randy and will be back sometime to see our daughter at USC! It's just 20 minutes from USC! You must see sunset at the damn, beautiful sunset. See you soon.

Cozy with lots of extras
Pretty, well-kept and private. Randy (host) very congenial. Evening trip to the purple martin roost rained out twice, but daytime good weather. Lots of fun for our 4yo - with swings and swimming with turtles and foozball.

Unexpected paradise
I never would have thought we’d even consider staying somewhere where the owner lives on the property let alone on the first floor. There was something about this listing that made us go for it and I’m so glad we did! They property is beautiful! A woman after my own heart with her flowers during the day and garden lights during the night. We could not believe there were no bugs, bought a thermacell and never used it. The kayaks were so much fun. Karri and Randy were so nice and we felt like we were staying with family, family that gave us space . We never felt invaded upon. And we got extra perks that wouldn’t have happened had they not been there. Wonderful shore area for the kids to play in the water safely. We did the purple Martin bout tour and I highly recommend it. Being out on a boat was a new experience for my children and they definitely gained some new core memories . This is already in the talks of being next years vacation spot . 10/10

Great family lake getaway
We stayed for 2 nights on our family road trip. Owner was very responsive with all of our inquiries. (They were out of town during our stay.) My kids loved the pool table and foosball table. Apartment had everything we needed and was clean and cozy. Yard and garden were so nice and allowed space for our pup to play. It was great to be right on the water and access to the kayaks and dock. We added on a private boat tour by the owners which left from their own dock. We were taken to see the bird migration and were able to enjoy a swim; the kids loved it! We spent a day in Columbia but wish we had another day at the lake. If we had to pick 1 drawback, it would be location for travelling with our pup. We walk a lot with her normally, and the area wasn't really conducive for nice long walks from the property. Overall, we had a great stay!!

It was a beautiful property. Kerri and Randy are very nice. They have a lot of outdoor seating it’s a little worn, but we spent most our time on the “porch” swing and single swing suspended between two beautiful trees. It was HOT HOT the week we were there and we followed the instructions on keeping the curtains pulled and had no trouble keeping cool. We did not float in the dock area but drove 1/2 mile down the road to the state park beach. We took advantage of the Purple Martin boat ride at sunset. Kerri and Randy joined us in the water to watch them and answered lots of questions. We enjoyed our little get away.

Location was perfect for our short visit to Lake Murray. Hosts were helpful and knowledgeable about Purple Martins and provided great narrative about the area on our sunset/Purple Martin lake tour.

Extra fees
Had a small cook out in yard. About 6 adults in their sixties and three children other than us. Only my husband, myself, and daughter actually stayed here, but was charged an extra fee for the few guests. I made sure that everything was clean and the way I found it. They also charged a fee to clean the hot tub after being used. I would think it should be cleaned in between uses anyway. Couldn't figure out how to use gas grill so I used the charcoal one. I used a bag of charcoal they had there and they charged me triple the price of the bag.

The reservation was for 3 adults and one child. The front of house video footage showed about 15 people and seven cars on the property. This guest had a graduation party for their son. My listing states no parties or events. They used an entire 10 lb. bag of charcoal. We offer charcoal to our guest. It only takes a small amount of charcoal to feed a few people. My housekeeper had to spend extra time cleaning. When 15 people are gathered for a party and go in and out it creates more dirt and mess. They also had a dog there. We are dog friendly. They did not include the dog in their booking. They left the hot tub half full, with brown murky water. The circulation pump was turned off. Hot tubs need to cycle all the time for the water to remain clean and fresh. The hot tub had to be drained, thoroughly cleaned and replacement of filters and chemicals.

Truly loved the inside decor / superb beds and excellent kitchen
A bit disappointed that no direct view of Lake Murphy from the interior of the apartment and just a tiny view from side deck. Otherwise perfect.

I am a little confused. There are three windows directly overlooking the lake. Perhaps you did not open the drapes and pull the shades up? However, I am glad you like the interior. And the beds and the kitchen. Thank you for your five-star review.

Nice area
Host lived in first floor unit and rental was above. Somewhat awkward with the owner living below. One example was being told that the TV was too loud when I was watching it. Besides the annoying nitpicking host, it was a pleasant stay.

John must be confusing his stay at Lake Murray Paradise with another stay somewhere else. We have never told any guest the TV was too loud. The upstairs and downstairs are so separate and isolated from each other that we cannot hear the TV upstairs. As far as "nit picking" I have no idea what he is referring to. I don't recall having any interaction with him at all.

Great location
Spent a long weekend here to attend a wedding and it was the perfect spot. It's a short drive to Lexington and Columbia. Located right on the lake with a large yard that my four year old really enjoyed. The apartment was really comfortable, had everything you could need and was very spacious. Randy and Kerri were also great hosts.

Welcoming, cozy location
We very much enjoyed staying at this location. The hosts are so nice and we learned some great history about the making of the lake. The house was immaculate and the surroundings very well kept and beautiful. We took our own boat and jet skis and the space there to keep them worked well. Fun Getaway

Great place to relax
My family and I had a great time. The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. My kids had a great time playing in the water and jumping off the end of the dock. Having kayaks included was really nice - just watch out for the red one, its a bit tipsy! The location is very convenient.

Gorgeous Lake House
This spot on the lake is so pretty. When we stayed we couldn't believe how quiet the lake was. Even though it seems that every house has a boat in front of it we only saw one motorboat out while we used the kayaks provided to paddle around. We also spotted so many fish, too many to count. The property was clean and cool, the beds comfortable, the towels fluffy. The apartment is at the top of the house, I think the owners live below and it is quite spacious.

A perfect trip..
Everything was so neat and clean and perfect for our weekend trip to the lake. You can rent out jet skis, go for a boat ride, kayak, swim in the lake or just chill out at home with the several amenities provided. Randi and Kerri are extremely hospitable and helpful. The Purple Martin tour was well planned and we all enjoyed it. Randi was available to help for anything required, at the same time giving us the privacy we desired as a family. My kids just loved chatting up with Captain Randi.. Thank you again Randi and Kerri..

A Lake vista

Perfect
The property is beautiful and well kept. The living space is beautiful and comfortable. It had all the kitchen utensils we needed and was loaded with family entertainment opportunities. We enjoyed a Purple Martin Sunset cruise as well and Kerri and Randy were the perfect tour guides and hosts. The only way the stay could have been better was if we stayed longer.

Relaxing time at the lake.
Great relaxing three days at lake Murray. The property had everything you would need. We had two warm days and got the kayaks supplied out and explored a small part of the lake. Sat by the fire pit in the evening and enjoyed the sunset. Great hosts and location.

The owners of this property were super friendly and provided detailed information regarding their property and other pertinent information. They work hard to meticulously keep their property and the rental space beautiful! The living space was incredibly clean and comfortable for our family of three. We enjoyed the tv area and nooks. Our beds were comfortable and the rooms nicely decorated so that we felt at home. Had we had more time, I know that we would have enjoyed the pool table, foosball table and hot tub. The kitchen was well appointed and the bathroom had numerous supplies available in case we had forgotten any toiletries. We really enjoyed our stay and are hoping to return next year!

Lake House
We enjoyed our stay and Kerri and Randy were very helpful from the beginning to the end. Conveniently located for coffee, food, clothing, all only minutes away. It was an easy commute for us to go to the Military Base in Ft. Jackson for our daughter's family day and graduation. My other daughters loved relaxing in the hot tub every night. Lastly, the lake sunsets were beautiful!

Great place on Lake Murray!
My husband and I got away for a week in February to escape Michigan’s winter. Lake Murray Paradise was just what we needed. It was nice and clean, well-stocked with everything we needed, and was close to shopping and dining. Truly a beautiful spot on Lake Murray, and we enjoyed visiting with hosts Kerri and Randy. We miss it already!
