"Amenities and rooms are new. However, the pool was overcrowded with China locals and their kids, making the sauna and steam room a mess. Breakfast buffet with also crowded with China locals and rowdy."

"It’s a beautiful hotel with very helpful staff. The location of the hotel cannot be better especially for people with luggage’s as it’s right at the edge of the ancient town so we don’t need to drag our luggage on narrow cobblestone roads in town. We went to eat inside the ancient town almost every day. The hotel consists of individual old-style houses which are very private yet inside is new and tastefully decorated. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful with all we needed particularly on booking snow mountain tickets on WeChat. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend the evening show at Mu Mansion in ancient town."

"It was such a heart warning stay. Loved the host and family’s reception and kindness. The location is perfect, away from the noisy part of the town and yet, on the most beautiful back street, with creek and stone bridge right in the front. Will certainly come back next time in Lijiang."

"Staff was very helpful. If you get a room facing the ancient city, it's beautiful.. sunrise (facing east) and night view. The hotel position is at the hill top of the Ancient City with the hotel entrance just a few steps to the stairways leading to the ancient city.. inaccessible to the wheelchair bound folks. It is better to have the hotel arrange for your transportation to the hotel as it is difficult to find. If you make your own way there, they will provide you with another hotel's address (where the taxi can drop you off), then they'll pick you up from there (you have to call them when you arrive). You'll also need help with your luggage as the pathway leading to the hotel is not user friendly and there are steps down leading to the hotel entrance. Breakfast, it's simple... don't expect a good meal. They can help you with online purchases (food or anything) with delivery within the hour upto 10 pm... this is exceptionally fast and efficient. "
