Afton’s Elkhorn Arch is 18 feet high and made of 3000 elk (Wapiti) antlers. The arch was finished in 1958, taking two years to complete at a cost of $2,500.00 plus many hours of volunteer time. The antlers, shed by elk every spring were gathered at a nearby elk reserve.

“It was a nice cabin. Had everything you needed. It was a beautiful area and we were there to visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone. The drive to Yellowstone was quite far. My only comment is that it was unclear that the only stairs leading to the bedroom upstairs was a spiral staircase and a very narrow one. I’m not sure everyone would be comfortable going up and down the stairs and it was difficult getting luggage to the second floor. But clean, quaint and lovely area. ”
