Warm welcome with a well appointed and very clean room and bathroom. Linen and towels very clean and fresh. No evening meals available but we were pointed in the direction of the good restaurant very near by. The website originally said breakfast included, but we had to pay extra, not hugely expensive but as previous reviews the breakfast choice was a bit limited in terms of cereals etc, but that's probably English taste. The white rolls were REALLY good from the bakery attached. Overall value pretty good, we stayed one night on the drive from Berlin to Dunkirk and the location was great for main arterials. Small town has supermarket, fuel, pharmacy and eateries within minutes walk. Recommended? Yes, but do read the small print carefully.

Highly recommend

Charmingly small hotel in charming small town surroundings. While it's getting a little worn its just at a point where it adds to the charm. The owner is very friendly, the rooms are spacious and the bakery downstairs is very nice.

Dygtig og professionel receptionist, dejligt rummeligt værelse med fin seng og god terrasse. Fin stille by med mulighed for kurbad og gode indkøb - og restaurant muligheder. Super til ophold i transit for et par dage, inden man skal videre.

The worst Check in ever!

No one there when I arrived to check in! I had this booked in advance via Hotels.com! I called the number on the door and was answered by a very angry German, I tried this twice! In the end called Hotels.com who took 15 mins to sort it out! A lady arrived and let me in! A little grumpy and sold me a breakfast without asking, it was just on the re prepared bill! I said I did not want it but she had no money to refund me!

The staff were great, the room and bathroom clean and spacious. Having an inhouse bakery was a breakfast boon.

Sauberkeit: Wäsche+Handtücher sehr gut, Zimmer+Bad allgemein gut-nur die Ecken könnten nochmal "durchgefegt" werden. Zimmer: nicht die modernste Ausstattung, jedoch alles in gutem Zustand+komfortabel. Sehr schönes Frühstücksambiente in der im Haus intigrierten Bäckerei/Cafe. Sehr nettes, zuvorkommenedes Personal. Lage: sehr schön gelegen am Kurpark nah am "Grünen".

Arrived late in the evening and the owner took great effort to make sure I was comfortable and looked after. We had a nice chat about the reason for my visit and he was most helpful to advise me of road works and speed cameras on my way to my meeting point. He even offered me a lift to the place; however, I already had a hire car. A very hospitable place and service which went well beyond the call of duty expected these days.
