A mixed bag

First the good news. The apartment is large (albeit laid out oddly) and is conveniently located in a lovely neighborhood with many amenities within walking distance. The local restaurants were terrific. On the other hand, there were a few downsides. The shower (with a hand held wand) refused to stay in place over the bather (always moving to face the shower wall instead) and the temperature kept fluctuating to extremes, making showering a challenge. (I recommend that the property manager stay in the apartment over night to try out the shower.) The rugs in the apartment were dirty and stained and the fake flowers were very dusty, suggesting they had not been cleaned in a while. That wreaks havoc with someone with allergies. The apartment was not ready when I arrived and wasn't finished being cleaned until about 4 p.m. that day. In addition, the property manager never appeared at the appointed time to check us out. So, a mixed bag - but most of the negative comments can easily be addressed by the owner..
