“This was such a fun experience. My husband and I had a road trip up the east coast. We aren't big campers and this was a great way to get a bit more of a rustic experience without a tent. But yes, you take a canoe to the island. It takes 5 minutes. No electricity, so be prepared for a camp stove and electric lanterns. Loons added a lovely evening sound track. Google map directions worked fine. Mexican restaurant was good. Took a day trip to Camden to hike and have lunch which was lovely. So fun……

“Adorable cottage, perfect for a romantic getaway. Beautiful view of the ocean right from bed! Full kitchen and bathroom with pretty much everything you need. Short drive to lots of great restaurants and sightseeing. Wish we could have stayed longer.”

“Kids had blast on the lake, jumping off the dock and tubing. House had plenty of room for all 8 adults and 8 kids. House was clean and had everything you would need. Our family had a great time! Host was very attentive and quick to respond.”

“What a wonderful stay. The views were absolutely amazing. Kitchen well equipped. We bought live lobsters just $10 a lb from Hannafords (try also the French baguette) just 12 min drive and cooked them, clams and corn all in the steamer provided. Lounge seating very comfortable. Cooks corner area has everything incl Walmart superstore. David was a wonderful host. Could not speak too highly of him. He came out late at night when I could not work something out.”

“We had a great time on the lake - swimming, boating, fishing and kayaking. The house had lots of beds with different configurations which helped with the 6 adults and 5 grandchildren.”

“Super clean, we were able to go in a few minutes early no problem! Very comfortable bed, with extra blankets as well! We stayed here the night before and the night of our wedding and it was exactly what we needed. ”
