The Blue Bungalow was a handy retreat! With a 6 minute drive to a Walmart SuperCenter, about 15 to an award winning local bistro, The Croissanterie (try the Figgy Wiggy!), and a park with a small lake close for the dogs to run around, I loved staying at the bus! Rural feel with city perks. Listen. It’s a bus… the 108* heat index makes everything have to work harder. Adjusting expectations is crucial to be fair in a review. Yes, it’s quirky, I.e. run the cold water a bit to clear the hot water from the lines.. it’s 108* everything that’s above ground for long is about boiling. Concerning the electric, remember this isn’t a house, turning on every appliance AND the A/C minute on high will trip a breaker. To use the microwave when it’s super hot, just turn the A/C on low cool and turn off the tv. I didn’t burn up in the three minutes took to make Mac-n-cheese. :) What was really impressive is the inside temp stayed very comfortable, even a bit on the cool side one night, throughout my three day stay. Will I stay here again? Absolutely! The inside was adorably decorated and very comfortable! The close proximity to town was hands down the best AND no sirens at night. I appreciate all the time and love put into the quaint space.
