Lovely and meticulously maintained cottage conveniently located close to restaurants, open water and marinas! "Simply Irresistible" is your gateway to leaving your work world behind for that rare place where you can truly relax and make family memories. Enjoy going to local restaurants and not having to cook? They are just a short scoot by boat or jet ski! Enjoy towing the your crew in a safe, uncrowded but spacious cove? You will LOVE the access to a large cove just off main lake! This home is GREAT for multiple small groups. Why? Each bedroom has a dedicated full bath. Each bedroom is it's own master! BEDROOM 1 has a water view and deck access with a queen bed. BEDROOM 2 has a queen. BEDROOM 3 has 2 sets of bunk beds in addition to a wide variety of video games and an X-Box 360. There is a spacious living area, beautiful and functional kitchen, gaming room in the basement for cards, darts and "crashing" when you come off the water for a snack. The house comes fully equipped with 5 kayaks, multiple floating tubes, an assortment of life jackets, horseshoes, tether-ball and a gently sloping yard to the boat house! The oversized screened-in porch is the perfect place to unwind with a cool beverage--plenty of seating for the entire crowd! You are less than 7 minutes from the Food Lion, restaurants, Family Dollar, Ace Hardware and marinas! Trash service provided - no need to haul garbage on your way out of town! High speed internet via CenturyLink with a dedicated landline for emergency communications in case your carrier does not have good service!

Great place
did a 3 night stay and it was really nice. not far from a food lion and abc store. it was clean and peaceful. Had a lot of fun. The place is big and fit 6 adults easy. The screened in porch was nice. The neighbors to the right of the house were very odd. Over all we would come back to stay again.

Tastefully decorated and clean. Screen room adorable....a broom to sweep out bugs would be nice. we had an enjoyable lunch out there. We played corn hole in back yard and sat on your dock with wine, enjoying the fall foliage. Relaxing time with good friends.

Perfect for us
The layout was more spacious than expected. Each bedroom having its own full bathroom plus a half bath in the hall was very convenient. The unfinished basement/ game room was great space for the young adults to hang out. The kayaks and paddle board was a super bonus for exploring the lake. The listing does not say so but there is a community boat ramp that is also very convenient if you bring your own boat. The cove is not very deep but was very quiet and private during our stay. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely, peaceful and well-equipped property
My family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Simply Irresistible! The home is beautiful, clean and very well equipped. We especially loved the kayaks, ping pong table and other games.

Simply Irresistible or Simply Irritable?
Our stay can be summarized in the list of 30+ items needing attention at this property that I sent to the property manager. Many focus on the lack of cleanliness of the sunporch, lower level, and other areas of the home, worn and stained carpets and furniture cushions, and a number of items needing basic maintenance. These include but are not limited to a screen porch door that is broken, a stair railing that needs its handrail repaired, pathway to the dock that is missing pavers and is uneven, and a useless and hazardous gas grill (to the property manager's credit and Ryan the delivery person, this was replaced within a few hours of communicating the issue of the grill.) What is surprising is that in viewing the guestbook, the comments about the previous owners (2018), reviews were very complimentary and indicated that ownership appreciated their guests and provided additional amenities. That was not the case in reviewing the comments since the change in ownership in 2018 (a number of reviews support many of the items listed above as issues with Simply Irresistible.) The quandary is that the home and what it includes (3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, recreation equipment, well equipped kitchen, location) is actually quite appealing but its lack of attention to basic details of cleanliness and maintenance is frankly a disrespect to its guests for the $ being charged. I can honestly say that this particular property has been the least desirable of all that we have contracted through our entire time utilizing VRBO.

Horrible Smell-dock covered in spiderwebs and bird poop
the AC was not on when we arrived. there was a noxious mothball mold smell there was NO propane for the grill no bathmats 2 towels per bedroom the location is great....so many things need to be address. although we reached out over the emergency number we never heard from Lake Gaston Rentals.
