“We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The pictures really don’t do this cabin justice. We felt at home immediately and were grateful for all the amenities that the home offered. Mary, our host, reached out via email regularly to check in and make sure we were enjoying our stay. We loved being able to sit on the porch and listen to the creek while drinking coffee, walk across to the water to fish or to just lay in the sun. Our dog, River, loved swimming in the creek too.……

“Very clean, charming and comfortable stay- for parents and three adult children and two small dogs. Stayed for son’s graduation from Penn State- Harrisburg. It is in a busy area but inside was private and location close to everything and perfect hangout for kids downstairs. Enjoyed outdoor space and fenced areas for dogs. “We recently stayed at Rustic Riverfront Retreat on our drive to the midwest for Thanksgiving. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was much bigger than the pictures show, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there were two full bathrooms and two sets of washer/dryer. “My friends and I stayed here with our family for Memorial Day weekend. We can’t say enough good things about this property. The house was beautifully maintained and very comfortable. The pictures don’t do the location justice. We were right on the river and our children enjoyed fishing and running around in the yard. David and Janice were wonderful. David gave us a great tour and explained all the features of the property. It was also very convenient to Hershey Park.”

“This place is great! Easy check in and check out process. Fish rising to bugs right in the yard. I literally pulled in and within a couple of minutes I was hooked up on a fish. And while nothing is very close out that way, the house is close enough to some good eating and more importantly great fishing. It was the perfect setup for a small group of anglers that spend a few days fishing the central pa region.”

“The location can't be beat- right on the river and walking distance to everything you could want. That being said, the accommodations were average- it gives the vibe of DIY. If you have reactive dogs (luckily we don't) i would suggest staying elsewhere- you can hear all the movements of your neighbors. But again, location was awesome.”

“This rental property is probably the one of the nicest places in which we have ever stayed. The Owl’s Nest is a charming little house that had everything we needed and more. The artistic, creative, and thoughtful little touches make it truly unique. Located in a serene open field it is the perfect habitat for wildlife such as deer, rabbits, turtles, and almost every type of bird from eagles to hummingbirds which we saw on a daily basis during our week long vacation. “We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house! 30 of us from a small sorority at widener university stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! The girls all enjoyed the spacious layout, plenty of rooms, spacious outdoor(with the hot tub) and not to mention we loved the goats! Would recommend although it was bad weather before our trip so we couldn’t do much in the area! We still had an amazing time.”

“If you’re looking for an isolated setting where nobody will bother you, this is the place for you! You basically have your own road and there is nothing but woods and cornfields as far as you can see from the house. Perfect for a relaxing trip, with civilization only about 10 minutes away. There were a LOT of dead bugs, however, including a few in our bedding. I’d double check before sleeping in the beds if you stay here. Other than that issue, I would recommend this place as a peaceful getaway!”
