“It's a decent place to stay. The building is modern, clean, and suite is well equipped. A few minor grips. 6 soft low quality pillows does not substitute for 1 good firm pillow! The neighborhood is safe, but as is the case in many US suburbs/exurbs it's not really walkable. There are areas where the sidewalks just end, and they are not well lit at night, say if you are walking to supermarket. The building gym, looks great but the equipment eg. the elliptical trainers are poor quality glitchy.”

“We are actually from Arlington and needed a couple place to stay for the first week of a bathroom renovation. We luckily found this place, which was the way to our daughter’s school. The neighborhood is one of the best - quiet, safe, upscale, and near supermarkets & metro. House is nothing special from outside, but is well maintained and very clean on inside. Huge tv, nice picture window, nice bedrooms with cell charger, books, extra blankets. Kitchen is stocked with essentials - spices, coffee,……

“The description to this place was misleading. We thought we would have the entire house as it stated however it was a walkout basement with 2 bedrooms. The entrance was in the back of the house with a very dark walkway at night. Beds were not comfortable and seamed smaller than a Queen size bed. I couldnt use the ceiling fan because it had not been dusted in years. Overall the place was good enough because we were gone most of the day. “Little Oatlands was home for 9 of us for a flower filled week in May. We assembled from KC, BC, CA and VA to attend my daughter’s wedding overlooking the Potomac at Murray Hill. The property and approach to Little Oatlands takes your breath away! Flowering Dogwoods line the drive blending with the white fence and homes in the distance. Each of us walked down the lane to read the plaques and the history of the preserved property. Certainly a history lesson and it would be wonderful to know……

“This property was wonderful!!! The house accommodated my large group for our visit to DC. We took a boys mentor group and familes to DC for an educational, cultural, and civics trip. This house was perfect! From the lovely kitchen, and open living space, to the spacious bedrooms and awesome basement with a spectacular gameroom area!! The only complaint we had was the stairs but I brought it the attention of the host and she said she would take care of the problem. We were also unable to work……

Charles was a great host and responded quickly to any inquiries! He also was very accommodating of our request to shift our stay due to some unforeseen circumstances. “Lots of lovely space inside and out with ample seating for large groups, both at table and on couches, decks, etc. Plenty of dishes and table ware. Pillows and linens were in good supply also. Natural light is wonderful throughout, but some rooms were lacking in supplemental lighting for evening and morning hours. Our major disappointment was the bedrooms. Two rooms were super comfortable but the 2 rooms with double bunk beds had very squeaky, metal frames with thin mattresses. These didn’t work……

“The condo was clean, beds comfortable. The only real critique were squeaky doors (pantry was very loud) we never could get the heat/air right but I believe it was operator error. We were very happy with access to everything we wanted to see and do. The owner was very accommodating.”
