Beautiful stay . Spacious house , will love to stay again When traveling. Very clean well kept home . Sun set on the back porch is beautiful, highly recommend enjoying it . Looked at prior reviews about the house . We had no ants no problems. Wash machine was confusing for a few , but figured it all out .

Quiet Clean property

Very nice property and good location. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to grill dinner and relax on the deck. Felt like home being able to wash clothes and stay in our own bedrooms. Would recommend the place to anyone wanting a private location to use as home base for relaxing in Northern California.

Amazing Property!

The house was so comfortable, clean, and cozy! Perfect for my family who was in town for a graduation. It was a short distance to many conveniences but far enough away that it felt private and peaceful. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We saw deer, rabbits and even had a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset. We did have a small issue with running out of hot water but the Vacasa team was very responsive even in the middle of the night. Would definitely stay again!

Pacific View Escape is just that. It is remote with a view of the ocean.

We loved the open floor plan and comfortable furniture. The kitchen was well equipped. It was very quiet. It accommodates 6 comfortably. It was truly wheelchair accessible which was a necessity for our group. We were in the area to see the redwoods and this home was within 25-50 miles of Humboldt and Prairie Creek Parks which were outstanding. The accommodations are not luxurious, but very comfortable for a stay in the area to explore.

Amazing location, superb views. Beautiful Sunset right in your backyard. Beautiful drawing room with pretty library, entertainment system etc. But as mentioned in other reviews this place definitely still has an ant problem, if you leave food anywhere the ants will assemble. Vacasa should fix this. Also another big pain point is the toiletries, they provide ecopods which are not sufficient for multiple day stays, they should mention this in the listing so that people come prepared.

Peace-Beauty-Wildlife

It soothed my soul to be in an environment where the only sounds I heard were of wildlife and a distant lighthouse fog horn. Visually you are totally surrounded by nature. Suzanne from Vacasa was outstanding supporting us in figuring out a small snafu with the tv. Previous guests had reconnected cords in the wrong connections leaving the instructions not matching up with what we were seeing on the screen. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water and no ant issues other guests had mentioned. For anyone who intends to cook meals I would suggest to go to Safeway in Fortuna ahead of time and stock up on your needs: coffee/tea, flour, sugar, foil, plastic wrap etc... There are some seasonings others have left. The community is very friendly.

Beautiful setting with a bit of an ocean/bay view in the distance

This was a very comfortable and well-stocked home with lots of windows and light for a cheery atmosphere. The yard was a beautiful, landscaped garden that we enjoyed strolling through and appreciating the landscaper's masterpiece. We were a bit further from the shore than we expected (there is NO way to walk to the shore from this house) but the view was still beautiful. Doors and windows had good locks so we felt safe and secure in this out-of-the-way home. All appliances worked well along with central heat. Had trouble with the lock when we arrived and the VACASA support person was fast and efficient in giving us a solution. We enjoyed the Humboldt Wildlife Preserve and the Slough closeby, along with the Avenue of the Giants redwoods and lunch at historic "Papa Jo's" in Ferndale (best sandwiches of the trip). I'd recommend this house for a nice place to stay if you don't mind a short drive off the highway.

The perfect vacation rental

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We loved that it was secluded and enjoyed the wildlife that came through the yard regularly. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Close by hiking trails at the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge. We really enjoyed sitting out on the decks and enjoying the sunshine! This location was perfect for visiting with family in nearby Eureka. We would stay here again!

Don’t forget the rabbits!

This was a great house in a rural setting. I think in advertising it in the future, you should mention the rabbits and deer that show up in the yard each morning and evening. Great entertainment!

Pacific View Escape

The house is large and accommodating. Both couches and chaise lounge were very comfortable. We had a wonderful time watching all the bunnies, deer and birds. It is about a 3 mile drive from the highway but we'll work it! It's so quiet and peaceful! The beach about 2 miles away is a nice beach. There is a little walk from the parking area to the beach but it's not bad. I will definitely return to Pacific View Escape!!

We ran out of coffee filters and dishwasher soap. There was no pepper in pepper shaker or on shelf. It would have been nice to have oil be a staple. Primary bathroom ran out of conditioner. Just a suggestion, but it would have been nice to have a couple of throw blankets so we could snuggled in them and used less heat.
