I've rented through VRBO many times in the past and have never experienced such thorough details in advance and such a warm welcome upon arrival. The decorations are so cute, it is so warm and inviting. The outside property is gorgeous, we even had a mama deer and her baby come and eat the grass outside every morning. But this house was in a nice residential, clean area. We spent our 2 days there traveling to the redwood forests, so we were gone most of the time. What we did see of the town was nice. “I injured my knee the evening before I was to drive up to King Salmon, so was unable to enjoy Shell Cottage, and too late for any refund! I had stayed previously however, and it was lovely; hence my desire to return.”

“Location was good for us. Home was well furnished and in a quiet neighborhood. Kitchen appliances are upscale and well stocked. And beds were comfortable. All the furniture was comfortable. Spa was very relaxing and water pressure in showers was good. Walking distance to trails and located close to national and state parks.”
