Quaint house in Seaview

It was the perfect house and location for our small family gathering. We had lots of fun playing on the beach and flying kites and building sand castles. The grandkids brought their scooters, and had lots of fun on the paved bike trail nearby.

Great Location

Beautifully renovated historic house right next to beach, private and peaceful. Lots of amenities on site, loved the sink in back for cleaning razor clams! Can't wait to stay again!

Host was very helpful when I needed to change date. This was our second stay here. My two adult sons and one goldendoodle. After my husband died I decided that we need short get-aways. This was perfect. Three bedrooms. Close to the beach. Nice to have a fenced yard for the dog. The weather forecast was dismal with nothing but rain. What we got instead was warm sunny walks on the beach. It rained a little at night but we didn’t care. We loved that it was a relaxing environment where we could just relax and reconnect. We will definitely book a third stay.

A real taste of the past in the beauty of today

It is such a wonderful area with lots to do, hiking to the light houses, riding bikes on the trails riding go-karts & golfing.

Nice clean house. Has all the kitchen cookware and utensils. Nice yard and grounds. I was impressed!

Big parking area, close to the ocean beach,. I went halibut fishing with some friends in Chinook, plenty of room in the freezers for my catch. Nice place.

Birthday Beach getaway

Had a wonderful time celebrating a milestone birthday with our friends - 5 of us total plus a dog. House is at a great location! Walking distance to beach and food and close to Ilwaco and lighthouses. The house was comfortable and well supplied. We appreciated the extra bathroom, the supply of games and the large yard area across the street.

Fantastic Stay. Great location.

Great little spot! Rooms and kitchen were very well equipped. Fantastic location! The house is about 500m away from the beach, it was just nature between the front yard of the house and the beach. There's definitely a bit of dated vibe to the décor -- with brown wooden paneling everywhere (even the ceiling!). But even that has some charm as it sort of reminded me of my grandmother's house.

Perfect family home, perfect location

Our family group absolutely LOVED our stay at Hewitt House. Comfy beds and seating, a well-appointed kitchen, charming vintage (and very clean!) interior, beautiful landscaping and outdoor spaces, a 7-minute walk to the beach and the Discovery Trail, and a quick drive to Cape Disappointment State Park -- couldn't ask for a better home base for our vacation. Check-in was easy and all guest instructions were clear; I'm sure communication with the hosts would have been seamless during our stay, but they thought of everything and we didn't need to reach out at all. This place is a gem; we'll be back!

Charming!

Our family and friend gathering was perfectly accommodated. The weather was as expected (rainy) so we couldn’t enjoy the lovely yard and grill, but there was plenty of cookware, games, and the beach was still close enough for shorter walks. We would definitely return in the summer!

Well kept rental with great location

We rented the ground-floor of the larger house. The same property has a separate rental building, within the same outer fence.The location was great for beach access -- about 2 blocks with a paved walking path right to the beach, and vehicle beach access. There is a super-market just a couple minutes drive up the main road as well.There's plenty of dedicated parking space, off the main street and well lit at night. The whole place is very neat and well maintained, inside and out. It was easy to find things and the checkout instructions were clear and simple. The owners were very responsive and helpful when we asked about early check-in.The unit was comfortable, with just the right amount of space for us (2 parents, kids 6yo and 8yo) and separate rooms so we could have our own space as needed. There is a good selection of kid friendly games, DVD's for all ages, and beach toys for kids.

Fantastic place to stay!

This property was just fantastic for us! There were 4 of us and we had plenty of room in this spacious house. The kitchen was well supplied, although it does not have a dishwasher. But it was very easy to wash up dishes. There is only 1 bathroom in the house, but there is access to another bathroom with shower that is attached to the other house on the property. That came in very handy for us. The beach is just a short walk away, and there are many restaurants and a grocery store just up on the main road. The yard and outdoor picnic area is beautiful. Our only regret was that we didn't stay in the area for longer. Hopefully we will return one day soon.

We loved the fireplace and there was plenty of seating around to enjoy it. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very organized and everything was very neat and clean. We appreciated the short, paved walk to the beach.
