“We came for an overnight stay for a family event. Instructions for checking in, getting in the house and parking were easy enough. The house was clean and the views of the lake were spectacular…so much better in person than in the photos! Would love to stay here again when I’m back in town.”

Holes in walls covered up by curtains. Electrical outlets that didn’t work. Broken toilet seat. Furniture and linens VERY different than shown. Basement does not look like what is shown. 2 bedrooms in basement (not shown) with no heat, and very dungeon looking. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. The listing……

“We had a large group of family (including kids, teens, and adults) and this was a great option. We were staying in the local area, so this residential location was fine for us. The home is a nice size, so Heating can take a while when it’s cold out. After we closed all the bedrooms and hall doors, it was much less drafty and easier to heat up. Kitchen was clean and had lots of plates, pots, and pans to use. Washer and dryer were also helpful. We had some small inconveniences with remotes for……

“We greatly enjoyed out stay at this property. My family is from Bangor and it was amazing to be able to stay close to town with my in-laws on their visit instead of in a hotel 30+ minutes away. House was beautifully decorated for the holidays which got us all into the Christmas spirit. Family had a wonderful time cooking in the kitchen and hanging out in the bar room. Would absolutely stay again.”

“This is a lovely little cottage by the lake. Private and quaint it was everything we were looking for, for a cozy getaway from busy lives. Rose was a great host, friendly and responsive, could not have been more accommodating. The house overlooks the lake and is surrounded by total peace and quiet. Will go back to this exact spot next year.”

“Obviously recently renovated and while it was nice looking, lack of functionality left a lot to be desired. The fancy staircase was a death trap with only a partial railing and super smooth treads (don’t wear just socks when walking down). The lighting scheme was overkill with the number of switches and 30 or so fixtures on the ceiling with the switches performing different functions each time it is flipped. Way too hard to just turn a light on or off as there were so many different modes.……
