Beautiful property, nice quiet location, nutritious breakfast and gracious staff deserves five stars. But one has to be rested and comfortable in order to enjoy all that. It was hard to sleep with the A/C unit booming all night long right under our window. The mattress was so uncomfortable that we woke up in the mornings with bodies aching all over. Also, the bathtub/ shower enclosure felt cramped and restrictive, and people with limited mobility will find it difficult climbing in and out of the tub. Sorry, David, but we probably won't come back to White Oak Manor ever.

I stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. The breakfasts were terrific…my favorite part of my stay. The bed was so comfortable that even my watch rated my sleep as a 98%! The owner was responsive and welcoming. It was a very pleasant experience.

Quiet area of town, room had fridge, microwave, bath with very nice toiletries, two chairs, a coffee maker, chocolates, and popcorn to pop if desired. Our room also had a porch off it with a fan to make us comfortable on a hot Texas evening. The bed was comfortable, but the mattress needs to be updated. It has formed a bowl, and we both kept sliding toward the middle. We were staying to attend a funeral and had to leave before breakfast. We were so sad to miss it, as things were starting to smell delicious.

The breakfast was excellent, drinks and popcorn were a welcomed site on our arrival, the comfort of our bed was fabulous, and I loved the corner windows. Probably the only thing that could have made our stay a little better would have been an electrical outlet in the bathroom. Otherwise, we hope to return some day. Thank you David for being such a great host.
