"If you are looking for an actual Northwoods experience, this is the place. I have been visiting the Northwoods of Wisconsin since 1992 and have stayed at many locations. All have their pros and cons. Pros: It is located on a great lake for fishing and is close to other attractions, such as waterfalls and touristy towns like Boulder Junction. Cons: Bring your own drinking water, as the rust is severe on this property, which is typical. Oh, the mosquitos are the state bird up in Valis County, and again, that is just par for the Northwoods. Bottom line, I will be going back to Idyllic this year. Chris has made the cabin very dog-friendly. "

"Very private setting and extremely quiet. On dead end road and very little traffic. The small lake is a gem, particularly because there are no motorboats. Access to hiking, including in the Sylvania Wilderness, is a real plus. For folks looking for a true northwoods getaway free from noise, traffic and crowds and surrounded by natural beauty, this place qualifies."

"Recently stayed at the cabin in Boulder Junction. Jordan was very communicative during my stay. The cabin was cozy and clean and conveniently located just at the edge of town. Would stay here again if I were to come back to the area."

"The Timberwolf is beautiful! I haven’t camped in 15 years and the accommodations made it a great experience. Location is perfect for easy access to many area lakes for fishing. The unit was nicely stocked as well! I also LOVED that that there were no odors of any kind in the camper, including the sheets and towels! Jay, the owner, was very responsive and easy to work with. I just have a few suggestions to make the accommodations even better: install some hooks near the shower area to hang clothes or hang bath towels; add a picnic table to the property outside so there’s a place to eat outside of the camper; install a handrail on the outside deck to hold onto for safety when entering or exiting the property. I suggest bringing your own table for the outside area if you like eating outside. It would be nice to install some kind of hand rail to hold onto when getting in and off the deck. "

"This place has CLASSIC northern Wisconsin charm. We loved the fish, moose bear themes everywhere. Beds were snuggly on our cool nights. The kitchen was stocked the best we have seen for a getaway cabin. Only one thing missing-cheese grater! The living room is narrow and small, so if you had a bigger group on a bad weather day it would be tight. Lake access is across the road. This was a great location for biking, hiking, star gazing. Fabulous quilt store nearby. "

"Property is as advertised in the photos and listing. This is a mobile home. Recommend to able-body guests. Gravel incline leads to front deck. The natural steps leading down to the dock are a little steep and uneven. Some steps are taller / shorter than others. A person should be steady on their feet when using them, because they require a little balance. However the last step down to the dock was loose and there was a partially broken board in the dock itself. Host says she is working on it. The hole is obvious to see so again, not a danger to those steady on their feet. The floating dock was out when we were there. Home is clean and smelled fresh. It felt 'lived-in" as all the items in it seemed used. Some had minor damage. Basic kitchen utensils were supplied; a lot of flatware and an array of cookware. Again, clean but used. Pots, pans, and dishes are also provided but its a hodgepodge as to sizes. For example, we didn't see a large pot to boil spaghetti in, so we just made a half-batch in a smaller one. We wished we had brought ziplock bags, and paper towels. If there was some on hand, we didn't see it. We did not ask for any either; just bought our own. Host was not intrusive or overbearing. Greeted us once, otherwise communicated via text. Friendly, helpful, accommodating. Pillows and bedding provided; not towels. Gorgeous night sky over the lake. Fished off the dock with great success. Great value for the price. Would stay here again! "
