Built in 1886, Los Alamos resident Charles Pearson established C.H. Pearson general merchandise store, which remained in operation until 1942. He sold a wide variety of goods including boots, shoes, caps, eggs, confectionery, tobacco, hardware supplies, liquor, to name but a few. The building remains intact with the original wood structure. The front of the building houses the highly regarded Clementine Carter wine tasting room, while the rest of the building has been carefully renovated with an eye to preserve its historic integrity.
