On Expedia, the room was listed at around $200/night when I reserved it (with Expedia confirming the price on the website).
When we check in, we're hit with a flurry of extra charges for every day of our stay. They charged us an extra 35.00/night for things we didn't ask for (Grammy Museum tickets, bike rentals, an $18 "credit" to make sure you use their restaurants/bars).
That, along with other fees we weren't told about made our total about $370 more than I had budgeted for based on their Expedia listing.
The worst part was that I booked this hotel almost exclusively for access to the pool (which Expedia lists as an amenity). We were there for four days, and the pool was off limits to us for all four days. First, there was a pool party, and they tried to charge us $50 to get in. The next two days, they had reserved it for some event in the evenings, so they covered the pool with a floor, making it unusable during the days as well. Not once were we informed by the staff of this, either. When we checked in, they made sure to let us know how to get to the pool, but never mentioned that we would never be permitted to use it.
I expected Hotels to be sneaky with their fees, but didn't expect Expedia to back them up. Extremely disappointing.
