Cozy and delightful European style bed & breakfast with QUEEN size bed & ensuite bathroom wet room with shower. Remember you are a guest at our property. Please treat it as your own. Topanga feels like you're miles away but minutes a part. Close to trails, beaches and wineries. Sunset, Stars and quiet abound. Topanga is in a high risk fire area. Please stay in touch during Red Flag Days which are rare occasions. We will inform you when we are in one.
The space
Cozy European style bedroom with a shower/toilet combo located in the mountains of Old Topanga that feels like you are miles away but not. Enjoy the modern conveniences and comfort of WIFI, HD TV, Ultra comfortable QUEEN size bed with 100% cotton linens perfect for relaxation, hot tub, private deck with awesome views and birds singing. Winding roads lead you to the top of the Santa Monica Mountains. You are 20 minutes to the beach or 45 mins to LA's entertainment sites. For your use to prepare light meals are George Foreman grill, prep table, microwave, Keurig and coffee supplied. Very quiet and in a peaceful neighborhood. Please read FULL Description. Breathtaking views, near hiking trails and convenient to Beaches, Parks, Malibu, Santa Monica & Calabasas. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub after a day at at the beach or a hike in the mountains. There is a private garden for you to enjoy. Wrap yourself in serape style blankets to star gaze in front of the fire pit

Several hip & campy coffee shops for your morning brew & breakfast are where you'll find the 'locals'. Or brew your own and sip on the deck watching the sun brighten the rock formations. I will help direct you to restaurants and points of interest. We love Topanga and wouldn't live anywhere else. Let us turn you on to its uniqueness.


You are welcome to use the laundry. Let us know when you need to use and please bring your own detergent. No smoking or pets. There is very little cell service Verizon But we have a dedicated Wi-Fi for great connectivity for work or pleasure.

GUEST TIPS FOR LA CASITA, TOPANGA

Thank you for booking with us. We are looking forward to your visit soon. I suggest you re read our site. It will enhance your visit in Topanga. Also check out the Topanga Chamber web site. They have 27 things to do in Topanga on Highway 27. It's fun to familiarize yourself with the area. Topanga is a small mountain town. What makes it unique and why people love it is because it is minutes away from LA but feels worlds apart from it. There are restaurant tips, trail systems, etc

We schedule our housekeeping around your time of arrival & departure. Kindly let us know.

1) NAVIGATION SYSTEM: If you will be using your nav on your cell phone, you must first load up the directions before you go out of range. Do not touch the screen to answer a call, text or simply by your finger slipping. You have approximately 10 minutes of out of range territory you will be driving. It gets tricky at night. So the nav is good to have.

2) PARKING: is in the carport. Please leave room for an additional car and head towards the front door

3) LIGHT COOKING: There is a microwave, George Foreman grill, Keurig coffee maker, Fridge, blender, hot plate, toaster oven, toaster for light and easy food prep. PLEASE NO EATING or DRINKING WINE IN BED.

4) BED: The QUEEN size bed is made with 100% cotton bedding

5) WIFI: The login is on the table by your bedside.

6) DECKS: You're welcome to use the lower deck to enjoy the views, the hot tub deck to soak and the lounge deck to sun bathe

7) HOT TUB: Let us know if you are going to be using the hot tub. We will show you how to turn it on and off. The hot tub is located on the upper entry deck . Enjoy the quiet, the stars and the dark.

8) LIGHTS: We ask all outdoor lights are turned off to help keep Topanga's Skies Dark you can use your smart phone flashlight.

10) Ask if you need more blankets, towels, etc

11) FIRE PIT: turns on like a BBQ.

12) COFFEE, TEA & FRIG & GEORGE: There is a Keurig, microwave & George Foreman grill. Stop at the local store to pick up cream for your coffee. Let us know how we can help. The Keurig can also provide hot water for tea bags. It is not just for coffee. If you need help let us know.

13) CHECKOUT: 12 noon is check out time. If you are leaving earlier, let us know.

14) Self Check-in KEYS: Are in the door knob of the bnb.

15) DISHES & CUTLERY: Look in the drawers or cupboards, they are there. Please wash your dishes and remove trash and recyclables when leaving.

18) BLOW DRYER and IRON in the cupboard.

19) BATHROOM: We learned about staying in small places in China and parts of Europe. The shower and toilet are in a wet room. There is no separation, between the shower and toilet. Remember to remove the toilet paper before showering and place the towels on the chair outside the bathroom doorway. The table loves water so leave it where it is and place your toiletries on it.

20) HIKES, RESTAURANTS and THINGS to DO: Please ask for the inside scoop. Nothing like getting the feel of Topanga from the insiders. We love turning others on to the folksy small town of Topanga which is a recreation area of Los Angeles.

21. Our water is safe to drink from the tap. If you like purified/filtered water please bring bottled water to the bnb.

Enjoy the lower deck for shade and viewing the big rock and red rock formations. The Hot tub deck for soaking and the lounge deck for catching sun rays. Enjoy the garden filled with flowers and succulents with chairs for private chats. Please NO SMOKING of any kind.
Other things to note
There is a patio outside your bedroom that is setup for light cooking needs. A fridge, micro wave, George Foreman Grill, blender, toaster, toaster oven, hot plate, BBQ Grill and Kuerig coffee maker.

When you come to Topanga there can be pesky insects; ants, flies, rodents & varmints (raccoons can raid the decks and outdoor areas) Please put everything away at night. It is part of our eco structure and the nature of our canyon. They exist so enjoy being Out West
