It was a cozy place - one big bed and bathroom and huge closets. BUT - great full sticked kitchen on its own floor. Absolutely great for the price!

Rougher area, but well maintained and secured space. AC was almost certainly not on, in fact we had to double check to see if that was even an amenity offered, in the end we just slept with windows open in hope the wind would help. Room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Absolutely no parking. We went out for dinner and when we came back, we had to park 3-4 blocks away on the main road. In the end, we wouldn’t stay again, but it wasn’t a bad stay for the price we paid. Good local food if you do end up staying. Expect to know some Spanish or have a translator ready.

First and foremost great value! We had the deluxe suite which had two queen beds and a private attached bathroom. Perfect for a group of women traveling! Clean room and the staff was quick to respond when we needed more bathroom supplies.

Very clean and nice hostel for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Downtown LA area. Conveniently five minutes from downtown and very easy check in and check out process. Definitely recommend booking at Forty-First place hostel!

Property was clean, staff was great. Room was very nice and spacious. Only thing was the parking. It is first come, first served and surrounding area is one with very limited street parking. Plan to take an uber/lyft or park 3-4 blocks away after a night out like we did.

I arrived to the place little late like 11pm I did first phone call about parking there was no explain on the message after I parked I realized the door code wasn’t sent it to me but my room code I got confused I had issue to get in was stressful but I made another phone call and I finally got it. There was a party in the neighborhood it was super loud Latin music. thanks god I had ear plugs and I was tired I had no problem to fall asleep when I wake up 3am the music was still going on this was Saturday. Even tho there was some issue they picked up phone call right away and help us, room was clean

Male staff were extremely disrespectful verging on harassing. Utter disregard for your safety. People banging on the door at 5:44 in the morning. Had people messing with your car. When you ask for help from the reception staff, they were mocking and rude. They didn’t send check-in information so I was out on the street at night asking how to get into the building. The light fixture was broken and didn’t work. They didn’t fix it. The kitchen area was not clean.

Kleine kamer die niet helemaal schoon was. Vlekken in de handdoeken en haren in het bed. Matige badkamer waar weinig warm water uit de douche kwam. Locatie vlakbij downtown maar ver van toeristische plekken als Santa Monica, Beverly Hills of Hollywood. De schoonmaakster was wel heel behulpzaam toen onze code die we kregen niet klopte. Zou deze niet per se aanbevelen.

Amazing! What went well? I was very pleased with my stay at Forty First Place Boutique Hotel in Los Angeles. We enjoyed the deluxe room with a balcony-it was extremely clean and immaculate. Housekeeping consistently showed great care and attention to cleanliness, with fresh sheets and a very welcoming atmosphere. Overall, great vibes and a comfortable stay. We will definitely book again.
