All the little details

We appreciated the stocked kitchen - every time we needed something, there it was! The space was perfect for two people and very clean and neat. The area felt safe and parking was always available close by- even during thanksgiving. Great location. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Wonderful place!

Great loction, perfect stay. Quiet, but close to coffee, restaurants. The place is very private, well appointed. Stacy was great. I would stay here again with pleasure.

Great home, great location

My husband and I were in LA visiting family. Stacey's Silver Lake home was the perfect location for us. It's close to amazing restaurants and stores and we had tons of fun walking through the neighborhood. The space is fantastic, there's so much room! We are going to stay there again on our next trip to LA!

Beautiful oasis

This property is ideally located on a quiet, shaded street just a short walk from Sunset Blvd and some of the best restaurants and coffee shops Silver Lake has to offer. Light-filled, peaceful, so lovely. The bed is super comfy, the shower is great, the kitchen is well stocked, and the front porch is almost impossible to leave. I’ll be back!

Comfortable Resting Place from an Accommodating Host

Wonderful retreat from the hub-bub of L.A. in a setting which captures the flowering gardens and the neighbors-walking-their-dogs-down-the-street feel of Silver Lake.

Charming spot

We would totally come back again. Very well appointed kitchen, down to a lemon squeezer and meat thermometer. Nice plates and glasses, and a bottle of wine to start of out. Bed very comfortable. Excellent instructions on working everything (which was very helpful) and list of recommendations on where to go and what to see. The little front porch with the two most comfortable chairs were ideal for neighborhood watching.

Great find!

I have stayed in many VRBO properties and this one takes the cake. Beautifully decorated, very clean and many upscale touches from great linens to a generous welcome basket. The house is conveniently located and close to many great restaurants. Silver Lake is a wonderful, funky little gem !

Excellent little house

Lovely little house, everything is clean, pretty, comfortable, and full of light. Owner has plenty of little gifts and useful items ready for you. Be prepared for a bit of a climb up (this is Silver Lake) but there is a ramp for rolling your suitcase. Great location, easy to get everywhere. Don’t miss Pazza Gelato on Sunset.

Comfortable and Light with Thoughtful Owner

We selected this location to be near our daughter and son-in-law who just had a baby. I had mentioned this to the owner when booking our stay. In addition to a welcome basket, she surprised us with a beanie baby for our granddaughter. How thoughtful! This describes the owner. She has thought of many special touches to make this bungalow comfortable for either short or extended stays. The kitchen and bathroom are very well stocked. In addition she checked in by text to make sure that everything was ok. There is lots of room in the living and dining rooms. The bedroom is a little tight, but most importantly the bed is very comfortable. (And I am one of those fussy people when it comes to my bed.) The owner has provided a binder with basic information for things you need to know about the property, as well as, information on restaurants and choices of activities in the area. There is also a binder of instruction manuals for all the appliances. We never had any problem with parking whether we came home in the afternoon or at 9:30 at night. We had a 6 night stay so we had experience with both weekend and weekday parking. We plan on coming back.

Great location, very responsive owner, lovely deck!

Our stay was short but memorable. The property is very well maintained and had all the amenities we needed (including shampoo, bath gel, etc.). Kitchen was well stocked as well. We couldn't get the DVD player to work so I called Stacey who was immediately responsive. She came the next day to try and fix the issue, but turned out it wasn't hooked up. It wasn't a problem since there was Netflix and lots of TV. She tried very hard to work it out, and was so friendly about it. We also liked the property's location, as it was close to several restaurants, as well as to downtown LA (we had tickets for the ballet), and Universal Studios. One afternoon we just took our Kindles out to the front deck and read under the shade of a lovely tree. The only downsides were, 1)the dresser in the bedroom, since the drawers didn't work properly, and 2) windows were hard to open and close properly. We would definitely recommend Stacey and her apartment to any couple wishing for a central location in this area.

Comfortable with everything you need, great location and lovely spot to relax with good parking!

We chose this location to be close to Echo Park and based in the description of the property, photos and reviews. We weren't disappointed! The owner is super nice and available and clearly cares about providing a great experience to guests. Lovely touches include a binder with everything you need to know about the property, dining and activity options in the silver lake area and greater LA activities to consider; welcome treats. Kitchen is well-equipped and bathroom is roomy with lots of towels, nice shower. Front deck is really special--you feel like you're in a treehouse! Rear garden is pretty. All in all, great stay. A little tight in the bedroom but it's workable and the bed is super comfy.

Could not ask for a better LA location

We loved staying in this bungalow for a month. Perfect location with walking distance to Silver Lake and Echo Park and all their parks, restaurants and shops. Only a 10 minute walk to the bus stop. Yes, public transportation is very good in LA. Stacey was very responsive to our questions and an issue with the plumbing, which was quickly resolved. Photos and descriptions were accurate. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom location was away from the street and therefore very quiet. The bathroom was well supplied with shampoo, conditioner and soaps. Would highly recommend this bungalow!!

Excellent Hospitality!

Stacey is a gracious hostess! She has thought of every amenity to make this charming bungalow a home away from home. From the welcome basket to the well-appointed kitchen, every detail has been carefully planned with the guest's comfort in mind. The location is perfect for walking to the shops and restaurants of Silver Lake or just a short drive to other points of interest. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and I felt safe coming and going at most times of the day. I could entertain my son and his wife here rather than depending on being at their apartment the whole week I was in LA. Stacey is accessible by text, solicitous about my needs, and I knew I could count on her if I had any problems. I would definitely book this property again.

Clean, comfortable, welcoming.

This was located in a very nice and safe area. Communications with the owner were very prompt. The house was clean, well appointed and very welcoming. There was a welcome basket with coffee, chocolate covered berries, and a bottle of wine. There was a laminated map to help you get oriented. A house manual provided information about where to eat, shop, theatre, etc. I would stay here again! Thank you Stacey! Lynne

The model for vacation rentals

This property checked all the boxes for what I and my family need when we travel and did it with style and extra attention to detail. Location: silver lake/ echo park is a good location to access the greater La area by car. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. I am in my late 60s and was easily able to walk to sunset blvd to shop groceries at the farmers market. Comfort: the bed and fold out were extremely comfortable. The kitchen provided all the utensils and supplies needed to cook a memorable meal with the local produce. The decor was aesthetically pleasing and wifi and TV was easy access. A welcome basket of wine , nuts and candies was especially appreciated after the 6 hour flight. I use VRBO frequently. This property ranks amongst my favorites for its efficient management and comfort level. A keeper for returns.

Silver Lake, June 2017

We had a great time during our stay in Silver Lake. The apartment was comfortable, with beautiful gardens in front and back. Nice views from the front deck. Parking on the street was easy. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment, so we packed less for this trip. There are several good restaurants nearby. Our favorites were Pine and Crane, Millie's, and Aroma, all on Sunset, and Blair's, a short drive from the house. Glenn and Kathy.

wonderful stay in lovely, modern cottage

We enjoyed this small house in a great, convenient Silver Lake neighborhood. Lovely décor, comfortable, with all we needed for a four-night visit to L.A. for a family wedding. (Much nicer than the hotels where relatives stayed!) Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for a holiday stay

This is a return visit for us. Last year we were here for Thanksgiving and this year for Christmas. We have 2 sons who live in LA and this little gem is just blocks from one of them. And this year my son's in-laws rented the bungalow next door. This place is perfect in every way..decor, size, amenities, location, noise level (as in NONE). Parking on the street is always available. The kitchen is stocked like a normal kitchen. This now feels like our home away from home.
