The property was great besides our bathroom having a few sewer flies everything was good except the for thw $100 parking fee for two days that they don't mention until after u check out and then taking out $400 on top of our $1,200 for deposit

As soon as we arrived at The Garland, the staff was friendly and so accomodating. Everything we wanted to explore was within a 30 minute drive. The pool was refreshing, and at night they do movies by the pool which is super fun and relaxing.

Wow- would definitely stay here again. The staff is 100/10, very quick, friendly, accommodating, and best of all - happy! We had breakfast at the front yard and I had the previlage of speaking with our waiter about the background of this place and to hear that the staff is treated well by the owners of the property, make it 10 times better since the staff actually wants to be there - and it shows! My fiancé and I would definitely stay here again and enjoy all the amenities this place has to offer. Thank you!

This hotel is not the norm in a very good way. It takes you back to what a hotel stay used to be. Nice rooms, attentive staff, gorgeous grounds and facilities, added touches such as the retro trolley to Universal are perfect!!!

Clean, quiet. Shuttle didn’t work for early entry but was a convenient ride back. Having a kids and an adults hot tub was really nice, allowing families and singles/couples to have their own space. I upgraded to the king premium. Big room but nothing special, view was still of the parking lot but did have the Hollywood hills in the background. Customer service was good, location very nice. Mid class with upper class pricing but it’s LA. Overall happy and would stay again

The Garland is an adorable retro/funky hotel. We enjoyed our time there. The rooms are a good size, conveniently located for the area, shuttle to universal was so nice to have available on site and everything was clean. The cleaning staff came by everyday with fresh linens and took out the trash.

The decor is fun and uplifting. Rooms are very clean and decorated well. Liked the bathroom setup as well. I almost have to find an excuse to go to a show at the Hollywood Bowl so I can stay at The Garland!

Amazing stay such a cute place. Staff is amazing and friendly when checking in and out. But my only one thing was the radio kept playing some static noise and I had to unplug but other than that it was comfortable. Will b coming back again

Stayed 4 days. Staff was so friendly and very accommodating for a late checkout. Opened the door for you every time. Pool bar food was great. 21 hot tub was a nice touch. Super close to universal with free shuttle. Will be back again!

We arrived earlier and they provided an early check-in at no extra cost. In addition, I forgot my cell phone at the restaurant and they were extra cautious to keep it safe and holding it until the end of the day for me. I am so thankful to all staff from Valet, front desk, restaurant staff lobby bell boys and room service for their ability to provide best service and attention. Thank You.

What it was convenient was the he shuttle service to universal studios within different hours and return times. Room is clean and room was recleaned when we left the room and came back. Rooms were available before check in time.

Overall our stay at The Garland was wonderful. I wish there was a shop downstairs that carried more every day items. The Front Yard restaurant on site was disappointing. We paid $68 for two entrees and a starter and were thoroughly disappointed and barely ate half of it.

This hotel was decent but there were a few things I didn't care for. First off, when we checked in the gentleman at the front desk asked if we were there for a special occasion. We explained we were there for our sons birthday and had planned to take him to Universal Studios. He said there woule be 2 free juices in our room for him which wasn't the case. Second, there is a $36 fee for parking which wasn't indicated when we booked the hotel. This was pretty crazy to us since we had already paid over $1,200 for a 3-night stay. Third, the pressure in the shower was awful and the design of the shower door was such that water would get all over the floor while showering. As for the food at the restaurant, it was just mediocre. Most of the food we tried was really bland and lacked seasoning. Lastly, they have a free trolley to Universial Studios however, the driver called in sick the morning we were going, so we ended up having to take an Uber. All in all it was just an okay experience. Not sure if I'd choose to stay here again.

It’s a vintage aesthetic, early 1970s SoCal resort vibe. It’s been renovated and is well maintained. It’s a fun place to stay, with modern amenities, including two bars and a restaurant.
