“I stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip. I needn’t have worried as I had an amazing week. The resort/village and apartments were both fantastic and the staff at Barefoot Contessa/Hemingways were always really friendly and helpful: Dimitra, Olga and Spiros and co. “It is rare to find a hotel where the facility is maintained in excellent shape and the staff is as friendly and helpful as in this hotel. they truly went out of their way (with no exceptions) to make us feel welcome and comfortable. ”

“Be careful of this place! Hidden fees and dishonest business. 1. Was given the key to a hot stuffy room with no way to turn on the AC unit. Was then told that I needed to pay extra per day to access it. - I dont care about the money, but hate being extorted for an ammentity that should be included. - They updated their ad only after I brought up that it was not mentioned anywhere. - After paying this extortion fee..turns out that its the weakest AC in all of Greece. Even with all shades……
