"There was no housekeeping in the three nights I was there. Not the end of the world, but clean towels and sufficient supply of toilet paper would have been nice. There was plenty of parking, the room smelled smokey (I think because it was the end room so open windows let in all the smoke from people right outside the entrance), but the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was okay but not great. There were premade egg options you could microwave, a waffle iron with mix to make waffles, yogurt, and toast. There was nothing to drink other than 4 oz bottles of water, and no fruit. Again, not the end of the world, but worth knowing when comparing options. Overall, I wouldn't not stay here, but it would not be my first choice when returning to the area."

"This is a wonderful option for those looking for a budget friendly hotel. The pool is nice. Breakfast is good every morning. And there's a washer and dryer for guests to do their own laundry. This is a nice option over other hotels that require you to pay per article of clothing you want washed."

"I love the small town charm of the area. The hotel itself felt like a remarkable find, given it was in the middle of nowhere. There was a pronounced humid/musty smell upon entry from the pool. Some of the features of the rooms appeared dirty or rusted, such as the shower head, the metal rack outside the bathroom (both appeared rusty) and the window sills (which were visibly dirty). Overall, I was not put off by any of this, but it was clear that this was not a new building or meticulously cleaned. There was a notice with the stack of pool towels in the room that there were four, a charge would be applied for missing towels. However, there were only three when I arrived. Even though the showerhead was dirty/rusty, the water pressure was excellent and the shower was very relaxing. We had to ask for toilet paper upon arrival because the available roll was almost out and there were no extras. I would definitely stay there again, but for those who look for quality of a chain, you might consider sticking closer to Milwaukee."

"Traveling from central Illinois, we always stay at this hotel for the Oshkosh Airventure. Good price and availability. We were disappointed that the hot tub was down this time due to a part on order, but oh well."
Modern Lake Home: Family Fun & Memorable Getaway!

"Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay. Tried fishing off the pier but didn’t have any luck. The white pelicans were fun to watch (our dogs even enjoyed watching them!) The shoreline was just redone with rocks which looks great but there isn’t a way to get into the water with a kayak or anything. We ventured over to the next lake- Fox Lake and enjoyed our time there too. Great communication from the host and the neighbors were great too!"
