Top Lucerne Hotel Reviews

Hotel Rothaus Luzern & Peruvian Culinary Art
8/10 Good
"In very good location, breakfast good bonus. Unfortunately we travelled in heat wave so fan in room was not doing much and being on main road (busses passes every 20min till 1am) did not helped with our sleep."

Hotel Beau Séjour Lucerne
8/10 Good
"The hotel was a great location and the staff were very nice. I paid extra for a lake front view and unfortunately could only see the trees and no lake. Not sure it was worth the extra cost. The room itself was small but fine and the toilet and shower were in a box. It was sufficient just not what i expected. I would certainly recommend the hotel. The breakfast was also very good."

Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne
10/10 Excellent
"Air conditioning like no other . Thank you Radisson for ensuring the heat wave didn’t melt my mind. I truly enjoy the city cause I could sleep every night in a comfy bed and great air conditioning. I recommend if traveling with kids, the room was very spacious."

Hotel Continental Park

AMERON Luzern Hotel Flora
10/10 Excellent
"Really lovely hotel, gorgeous bedrooms and the best sleep of my trip. Chilled water dispenser in the foyer was very welcome and well used!!"

Hotel Luzernerhof
8/10 Good
"Lovely hotel but if it’s hot it’s unbearable at night. No air con. Some of the charging sockets in the room didn’t work. Friendly staff. Breakfast was ok."

ibis budget Luzern City
8/10 Good
"Clean room, comfortable beds, spacious room for 4 adults, AC worked well for a European hotel during an extreme heat wave. Breakfast had a good variety. Free bus pass provided which was helpful!"

Hotel Des Balances
10/10 Excellent
"This was not our first stay in Luzern; we had previously stayed at another well‑regarded hotel, but would now recommend Des Balances without hesitation. The attention to detail and cleanliness is impeccable, and the staff are efficient, friendly and accommodating. Our room was maintained daily to a very high standard, and both breakfast and the one evening meal we had were superb. Most of all, we felt a genuine sense of belonging during our eight‑day stay. Des Balances isn’t a large hotel, and its size makes it feel personal. We were comfortable in the bar, on the terrace and in the lounge, and never felt like clients being processed. Staff recognised us and treated us with respect, good humour and understanding. The location is excellent: in the Old Town beside the River Reuss, close to Unter der Egg but not overwhelmed by crowds. It’s convenient for shops and less than ten minutes’ easy walk from the quay and railway station. Our river‑view room was a delight, overlooking the Kapellbrücke and towards the lake, both at night and in Luzern’s early‑morning calm. Two minor downsides: reception is up a flight of stairs from the Metzgerrainle entrance, so arriving on foot may require help with luggage or using the Unter der Egg entrance. The hotel does have a small lift. The other quirk is breakfast pricing—either a fixed‑price buffet or per‑item ordering—which seemed confusing for guests and staff alike. Not a complaint, simply an observation."
