"The front desk staff were amazing. Brian, Alanis and Aleida were always cheerful and helpful. The maintenance staff responded fairly quickly. There are some issues on the property that need addressing. The restaurant menu was not too appealing. The beach was within walking distance but you can’t get in. Limited drawers, a loud schilling noise from shower head, slippery moist floors resulting from increasing the temperature in the room are some examples. Overall a peaceful , restful vacay."

"Parking cost adds up (had to pay parking even for 15min checkin). Room next to water stinks due to stagnant water/parked boats and so cant enjoy balcony. Smell creeps inside if AC is OFF or doors opened. "

"A great and relaxing stay. Everything about the Casa Amapola vibe says comfort and quality come first. The outdoor area, with a private pool and three separate areas to relax in, comes with very comfortable and high-quality furniture, gas barbecue, large high-quality beach towels, pool toys, umbrella, and everything a nice resort would have. Indoors you have same quality and comfort with a well-equipped kitchen.The best thing about this home are the bedrooms with comfortable beds and each room has a wall mounted remote-controlled and quiet air conditioner. You get to set the temperature in your bedroom; this is far superior to having a central thermostat.And finally you get Jose as a host, who responds to your questions immediately and with great patience."

"Our host was extremely helpful and provided multiple suggestions for dining and POI. Communication was excellent! The property was very clean, as were the linens. The beds were clean and comfortable and there were plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen to choose from. Our favorite place to relax was outside on the Lanai enjoying the scenery and listening to the surf and coqui.The laundry was great to have to wash clothes as needed and before our return home. Previous tenants (and I'm sure the host too) had left extra items like rain ponchos, sunscreen and sun hats.The private, neighborhood beach was easily accessible and beautiful. We did multiple day trips, old San Juan, the rain forest and the ferry were easy drives from the property.I would highly recommend renting this home if you visit Puerto Rico and will definitely rent again if the opportunity arises to return to this beautiful location."

"This was a perfect home for our family! It was such a wonderful place to hang out and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kids spent hours in the pool (it was the perfect temperature!) and the beach was gorgeous and really easy to get to. The home is in a great location too- easy to drive to many destinations."

"This was our first non-cruise visit to Puerto Rico. My wife, me, and 4 17-20 yo’s. The house setup worked well for us with the 4 “kids” upstairs and us downstairs. Upstairs there is 1 bathroom so the downstairs one got a lot of use. Between the 2 kitchens we found what we needed to make breakfast daily. There was a small propane grill that was clean and worked (except for the starter- had to use a match). The beach is nice and only a few minutes away on foot. The waves were very rough but there is a more protected area where smaller kids could swim. To enter/exit the beach you need a fob. The unit only had 1 so if some of the party is already on the beach you have to get them to come “buzz” you in. For us the biggest downside was the location. Very few restaurants nearby and even fewer that are open Mon-Wed. If you’re planning trips to the rainforest count on a 75min drive each way and that got old for us. The house was comfortable temp wise as the daily temperatures maxed at around 84. Others have complained about no ac in the common area but it was fine for us. Things were clean and we never lost power that we noticed (there’s a backup battery that either worked or didn’t need to). Overall I’d give it a 8.5/10."

The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully set up for a truly relaxing getaway. One of our favorite features was the immaculate private pool, perfectly positioned right by the beach—an incredible place to unwind while enjoying the ocean breeze and stunning views.Each morning and evening felt magical. Listening to the coquí frogs while sipping coffee, waking up to the sound of the waves, and taking in the peaceful surroundings made the experience unforgettable. Having direct beach access meant we could enjoy the ocean anytime, and every sunset felt like a postcard come to life.The location was ideal—quiet, private, and serene, yet close enough to explore local beaches, restaurants, and attractions. This was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories. We would absolutely recommend this beach house to anyone looking for an authentic Puerto Rico experience and cannot wait to return."
