Chalet Wonderful
This fantastic house is roomy, comfortable and welcoming. It had everything we needed. Three families could stay with children and not be crowded, although we were all adults and had only up to 10 at any given moment. The hot tub was lovely and the surrounding property just beautiful. A warning about the dirt road might be a good idea for us city folks though, lol. Loved it and already figuring out when we can come back!

Perfect place for family
We love staying here! It’s the perfect set up and layout for our extended family who range in age from 10 to 55. The owner goes over and above regarding preparation and communication. Always accommodating and helpful. The house itself is always clean and has all the amenities you could ever need. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable stay! We cannot wait to return!

Homey Spacious Stay
We love everything about this property! It’s a great location and comes fully equipped with everything you could think of. Communication with the owner is exceptional and extremely timely and detailed. He goes above and beyond every single time. We can’t wait to come back!

Christmas Ski Trip
Four families got together to have a fun ski trip. We had lots of space to spread out. The game room downstairs was great for all and the fireplace kept the house warm! We enjoyed the hot tub after skiing. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked at home every day. It was a perfect trip, and when we return to Okemo, we will be sure to reach out again. I would highly recommend this house for groups as small as 10 to much larger groups as well. We had 13 and there was still room for more!

Can't wait to return
Wonderful spacious property with all the coziness of home tucked up into the mountain. Only 7 minutes from town amenities, coffee, gas, groceries etc. Perfect set up for our group to gather for games and meals etc. Host is very kind and replies quickly.

A great Painting Holiday
This lovely chalet was the base for my New England Painting Holiday and it was a super venue. Bob was a very considerate host and always got back to me with any answers to my questions. He also purchased some folding chairs for our outside painting escapades ! The peace and solitude of the chalet was envigorating and only a short hop from Ludlow. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a quiet venue within a wooded area close to town.

Fantastic place
Me and a few of my friends go away to just relax and read for a few days and this place was gorgeous. I would definitely go back. The kitchen is very well stocked and it was a very nice trip. The host was incredible and was fantastic when it came to communication. All instructions were clear and any questions i had were answered quickly.

Amazing, peaceful, relaxing
This house was immaculately clean. Didn’t need a thing while we were there because this house literally has everything! Super comfortable couches and beds. Fabulous kitchen that we had so much fun cooking in. Truly a beautiful house. Thank you Bob!! Hope to be back again.

Secluded, clean, well-provisioned…exactly what we expected. The host, Bob, was extremely responsive to any/all requests, questions and certainly went above and beyond when we had a crazy storm knocked out the power. Would highly recommend.

Just what we needed!
This delightful house is spacious (it felt like we each had our own "wing" of the house!) and clean, and the owners have thought of everything when it comes to making guests comfortable. Bob was easy to communicate with and even provided us updates on local restaurant closures from the floods. We had a fantastic time on our girls' trip and would highly recommend this property!

Vermont Vacation
This Aframe was in the perfect location for us to visit everyplace we had on our list! Close to town, shopping, and nature. The cabin was spacious and well appointed. Loved the porch and the game room in the basement. I appreciated being able to bring our dog with us on vacation. Bob was genuinely responsive and made the stay amazing. Would recommend!

Bob is an excellent communicator for his large, well equipped property. There were just 2 of us but this place is set up for family fun. Everything you could need for a fun vacation is right there. Bob is a great host who clearly cares for this big, bright home.

not clean but great location
The property was not clean. The grills were unusable and filthy. We cleaned ourselves and then a cleaning lady came back to finish what we didn't. We are to receive the cleaning fee back and were pleased with the attention of the owner. Would recommend.

Great Ski House
This place delivered as advertised. Well equipped to entertain 4 families. Two refrigerators, a wine refrigerator, full kitchen with grills on a wrap around deck. Two fire places with an outdoor bon fire pit. We came in the spring and got to witness the frogs come out of hibernation in their front yard pond.

Excellent mountain house
We love this house! It has everything we need for our huge family spanning various ages. The layout works well with separate living areas. The amenities include everything you could think of. Best of all, Bob is so easy to communicate with and is extremely detailed and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back next season.

Family Ski Vacation
The location was about 15 minutes from Okemo. The hot tub was a hit. The wood supply for the woodburning stove was handy. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner did numerous upgrades, but there are still things that need to be fixed.

We always have a wonderful time at this property. Bob has thought of everything you could ever need to have a comfortable stay. Great Ski Vacation
We had a wonderful stay here for a January ski trip. Chalet has everything you need (stocked kitchen, plenty of fridge space, big areas to enjoy company, areas to entertain children). The wood stove and hot tub were perfect after a long day of skiing. I can't say enough good things about the owners. Bob was extremely responsive leading up to and during our stay. We look forward to staying here again!

Christmas Week Stay
We enjoyed almost a week at this property. Bob was a great host and made the rental easy. The house is less than 10 mins from Okemo, where we spent most of our time. Bob was communicative and laid out everything for the house, we didn’t. Wed anything. It was a perfect rental for a large family skiing and relaxing.

A gem in the woods near Okemo
We're just back from a wonderful stay at Bob & Sue's beautiful, spacious and well-appointed cabin in the woods with our family, made all the better by the 2+ feet of snow that fell the Friday before our arrival. We can't say enough good things about the cabin, where we enjoyed cooking together in the large kitchen each night, games by the fire, ping pong, the hot tub and time playing outside in the snow with the feeling that we were miles from anyone despite being just 4 miles up the road from Ludlow. We'll be back!

Perfect Family Vacation
My whole family had an amazing time. We were so close to Okemo and downtown Ludlow but far enough to really enjoy the relaxation of the house’s location. The owners were amazing to work with and the house just lovely. Highly recommend!

Very secluded yet close to town
Great location very private just 5 minutes from town with supermarket, pizza, etc. Big house with plenty of room and a big well stocked kitchen. Extra fridge downstairs came in handy. plenty of firewood for the firepit. Great communication with host.

Comfortable home in a beautiful setting
My husband and I enjoyed our extended weekend in Ludlow at this comfortable home close to town yet secluded on a quiet country road. The home had everything you could think of and in good condition. When we are in the area in the future, we will definitely stay there again!

Nice location with lots of space
This property was on a quiet road within an easy drive of Ludlow. The housekeeping staff had not done a thorough job of cleaning between guests (smashed crackers in closet, random card and balloon on bathroom floor, old coffee grounds in coffee pot, dirty pan in cupboard, etc). The owner was notified and said he would send a message to housekeeping. Once WE cleaned and washed things, the house was better and it was nice to have three bathrooms, ample bedrooms, downstairs bar area, ping pong, yard games, hot tub, fire pit and grills. Housekeeping needs to do a much better job for me to consider a return.

Family friendly mountain getaway
Fantastic house for an extended family getaway. We had 4 households spanning 3 generations and more than enough room for all. The teens loved the game room area and loft. House was exactly as described. We opted to use the hot tub during our stay which was relaxing at night. The week we vacationed happened to be a heat wave and thankfully each room had box fans to use. Bob was a pleasure to rent from. Very attentive with any questions I sent his way.

Great family getaway!
Bob was fantastic with communication, from booking, information before our stay and communicating any issues that came up. Our family enjoyed the big open spaces where we could all be together, whether it was preparing meals together, relaxing or playing games on the great big table. The hot tub was wonderful and the game room was fun too. The outdoor space was great, so nice and quiet. The fire pit was a hit at well. Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

Wonderful Experience with a great host!
Bob was an absolutely amazing host and so nice! The property is accurate to the pictures and truly beautiful. It’s a great place to get away on a vacation with plenty of sleeping accommodations, fridge space, and a lovely finished basement and large living room. It’s a great place to go with a group of people and just relax. The landscape is beautiful with a great view of the mountains. My friends and I enjoyed time by the fire and hanging out in the hot tub at night, while exploring the property and hanging out on the deck during the day. Bob is great at communicating and making sure your needs get met. Definitely 10/10 and I will be staying there again.

Quiet and Comfortable
Three families fit comfortably in the chalet with plenty of room to spread out. The hot tub was great and we loved the bar and ping pong room. The house is just a few miles from town but know that the dirt road is a bit rough to navigate. We were glad we had 4 wheel drive. We loved the boot dryers and space to let our gear dry off inside the entryway. The house is very private and we loved that our dogs could run the property. If we ever visit Vermont again, we would choose this chalet for sure!

3-Family Ski Trip
The Bear Hill Chalet was great for our 3-family ski trip. There was plenty of room for the adults and kids. There are two large sleeping areas for the kids, so we were able to easily accommodate 7 kids (4 girls and 3 boys), and it was great having separate social areas on the main level and lower level. The ping pong table and hot tub were great. Bob and Sue were excellent hosts -- they responded quickly to questions about restaurants and road conditions. All in all, it was a very good stay.

Great house!
We love this house! There is a ton of space for our extended family. Fully stocked with all the amenities you may need or want. We’ve stayed here before and it was spotless when we arrived. This time however, the cleaning service seems to have not quite done their job. Still, we had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to come back to this beautiful spot. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Private and Quiet
What a great get-away in a private and very quiet location. My wife and I enjoyed the serenity of the surroundings and the comfort of the amenities. The owners were very communicative and helpful in making our visit wonderful. We strongly recommend this place and will definitely plan a stay again.

Retirement Vacation
I recently retired and have always wanted to see Vermont. My husband and I drove here for a 3 day stay. The Chalet was just as pictured on VRBO. The rooms are spacious. Plenty of supplies. The kitchen is well stocked as is mentioned. I saw a few places for improvement regarding cleanliness. Overall it was a very pleasant stay here. I would rent the Chalet again.

Early Fall Retreat
We are five (old) high school friends who reconnected as a result of the pandemic and have begun a tradition of meeting up annually. There would have easily been room to sleep 15 or so, depending on arrangements. The open plan of the house was perfect for us. Great place to simply hang out in the kitchen / living room, bar / game room, hot tub, or fire pit areas, and as a launch point to explore southern Vermont. Although not ski season, as a skier who has visited Okemo many times, this house would be a great ski rental. Short drive to the mountain (but bring your AWD/FWD vehicle in winter), but very private location.

Well worth it

Home Away From Home
From start to finish everything went very smoothly. Bob communicated well with us. Was very prompt and courteous with his responses. The home was well equipped with kitchen utensils, dishes, pots/pans. His home was very cozy and comfortable. It felt like a home Away from home. Definitely will use again if vacationing in that area.

Outstanding property and Exceptional Communication with Property Manager
We REALLY enjoyed our stay at Bob's place. He was so good with Communicating about the property, he really made us comfortable. Wood stove and hot tub are a delight after skiing OKEMO which is just a short drive away. Plenty of space and amenities. Clean and comfortable. Really can't say enough about the place or Bob's hospitality. We all agreed we want to make this an annual trip!
