Location
In the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, the city of Lugano is famous for its stunning location, rich cultural heritage and excellent restaurants and cafés. This combination of the two cultures is celebrated at MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20-minute walk). The museum hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions.

The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. A more active kind of festival is the Ticino Mountain Running Cup, which organizes running races from spring through to late autumn.

A day trip to Lago Lugano is a must, but if you do not have time, a lovely alternative is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. Then head to Piazza della Riforma (23 minute walk) and enjoy an aperitivo in one of the many cafés and bars.

For business travellers, the apartment is just an 11-minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18-minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano.

The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20-minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25-minute walk from the apartment.
