“This place wasn’t what we hoped for so we didn’t stay. The room was not as big as it seemed on photos, no room to put our suitcases out. Room was dated and doors opened out onto parking lot. Very dark, no lights outside and muddy from a water main break. To make matters worse, a policeman knocked on door to say there had been an armed robbery nearby and offender was seen nearby. Very scary and unnerving. We decided we couldn’t stay and found another hotel. Swan House were not willing to refund.……

“Clean room. Friendly and helpful hostess. V.good breakfasts, choice and quality. Quiet location with short walk to good pub. Forest of Dean is interesting area between Wye and Severn with a special history. Easy access to Monmouthshire. You may see harmless wild boar Can't miss the evidence of roadside grass verges dug up in their search for food.”

“The location was perfect and our room was lovely and clean. Nice pubs and Londis within walking distance. Owners, Kel and Mel were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area, giving directions to walks along the canal and the history of the local area. The cooked breakfast was outstanding!”

“My one night stay at this hotel was ten out of ten . What it lacked from outside appearance was saved from smiling welcoming staff friendly locals. Great food both evening meal and breakfast. Sunday roast was HUGE. Everywhere was spotless .
As a solo traveller felt very rekaxed. Well done to the Frocester. ”

“Mani was an excellent host, very professional and passionate about the property. We stay in the annex rooms as visit a wedding near by. Room was modern, clean and beds very comfortable. Felt very spoilt as such a personal feel to the venue. Would defiantly return if going back to the area. Am also thinking about organising a stay in the middle not house for our local football team tour for boys.
