New, modern, nicely-designed, clean, stylish home in an amazing location with fantastic view of Mt. Hood. Well-appointed home on a large property. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great place for a sense of isolation in luxury. Living space is bright and open with great views of Mt Hood and the surrounding landscape. A good circuit or trails on site for quick walks. Kitchen is well appointed and the bathrooms are modern and comfortable. Easy drive from Hood River.
This home was perfect for my family's Christmas. It was clean and welcoming. It is a bit remote from town but that was what we wanted and it was a wonderful place to cook, take hikes, sit by the fire and unwind. On a clear day the views of Mt Hood are spectacular!
Perfectly off the beaten path, looking directly at Mt. Hood, quiet and gorgeously placed, open and bright house. It's high above the gorge with big sky views. Wonderful kitchen with the right amount of stuff so that cooking was easy and pretty. Clean and well laid out. We will be back.
We had a wonderful stay at this mountain retreat. We took our dog and it’s hard to say if we or he enjoyed the property more. 25 secluded acres to wander with little paths all over. The home was very comfortable and had everything we needed for relaxing and light cooking. We were gifted with 5 inches of snow overnight on our second full day and it was magical to wake up to. The house is a good 20 minutes to any town or a store so we were happy we packed food and got a few items one day we were near town so we could truly relax and enjoy the quiet and isolation.
We had a friend and pup reunion/retreat at this beautiful home and property. It is tucked away in a peaceful forest setting and has all the comforts of home and more. It was the perfect place to gather, share community and connection, cook amazing food, and get to R&R like it was our job! We didn't want to leave. It feels like home and a sanctuary as soon as you enter in. You can tell the owners are dog lovers themselves as they have several thoughtful details for four legged guests as well as all their well curated essentials for two legged guests too. The owner was communicative and warm in wanting to welcome us to their home. Despite some unexpected hiccups it took on arrival day (all out of anyone's control - flat tire post hiking/adventuring!) the owner was so kind to make sure we all made it there safely even with a several hour delay. Thank you for your care! We cannot wait to come back again!
We had a wonderful long weekend stay and will absolutely be back again. The hosts were very responsive over text and the check-in/check-out process was as easy as can be. The property is a little tricky to find, so definitely follow the host's directions instead of Google Maps.
Absolutely gorgeous view of Mt. Hood, in a comfortable, artistic, and well stocked home. The owner was accommodating and easy to work with. We loved all of the nature that surrounded including the dozens of eagles you can view just a short drive away.
The home, property, and views are fabulous. We spent our days walking around and birding (great birding here). We spent our late afternoons on the deck enjoying the amazing views of Mt. Hood and the general area. We spent our nights cooking and enjoying the great accommodations. What a great place!
This property is gorgeous and well thought out. It's peaceful and the views are amazing. Elizabeth is communicative and kind. We all enjoyed every minute, including our pups! Thank you so much for sharing this space with us.
Super private location with stunning views. The home is well appointed with everything you need to make a gourmet meal. Cozy fireplace which our dogs loved (and us too!). Our only regret is we wished we could have stayed longer. But we’ll be back.
Everything was perfect. Plus we received a foot of snow adding to the magic. I didn’t want to leave the calmness and beauty knowing the stresses of living in the city were waiting at home. I started looking at remote property offerings, but I think I will just rent this perfect house for a month. Thank you for creating such a special place.
Beautiful home and setting, worth the drive. Welcoming and comfortable, has everything you need and more. We enjoyed walking on the trails and seeing the wildflowers and wildlife. Exceptional view of Mt. Hood. We spent lovely evenings watching Mt. Hood change colors with the setting sun. We'll definitely be back. This is an exceptional house, you won't be disappointed. Wi-Fi is decent as well. Owners were very helpful, accommodating, and communicative.
We couldn't have asked for a more stress free getaway for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. The host was extremely responsive and anticipated our every need (saved a few trips to town with items we forgot to pack). Many thoughtful extras were included to make us feel at home. The views were amazing and the property ideal to keep both our dogs and kids busy. My husband was able to stay connected to the office without any issues. I can't think of one thing that could have improved our stay!
Our family (two parents and a 14-year-old teenager) enjoyed our 7 night stay at this beautiful property during spring break 2021. The home is newly constructed and immaculate. We cooked every day in the well-stocked kitchen while relishing the incredible view of Mt. Hood. The quiet of the property was rejuvenating. Wonderful hiking is nearby including Catherine Creek, Coyote Wall, and Weldon Wagon Trail. Elizabeth, the host, was readily available to answer any questions. We hope to return.
We can’t say enough about our stay at this property- it is everything and more as described. Elizabeth was a wonderful hostess from the very beginning with communication, directions, expectations, and getting us there safely and checking in on us and our pampered pooch.
We love the solitude, the forest and found it to be a wonderful base for exploring the Gorge, both the Washington and Oregon side.
Our only regret is having to leave! We most certainly will be back. Worth every penny.
Elizabeth and Greg went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcomed to their unbelievably beautiful home with a stunning view of Mt. Hood.
My wife and I decided on this location for a remote anniversary week. Everything was perfect. The house is super cozy, the hosts have thought of everything (my OCD wife was blown away with the details!).
The location is far enough out that you truly do feel secluded, however civilization is only minutes away with a quick shot into The Dalles or Hood River for any provisions you may have forgotten.
Our new favorite hideout in the Gorge!
Beautiful Home, Elizabeth and Greg set us up well with a bottle of wine from one of the many excellent local vineyards. We made a three hour drive to the coast to spend the day at Ecola State Park, Locally - Mountain Biking, Curtain Falls (one of many local hikes). You would not believe the wind surfers on the Columbia River. The girls wanted to take a class, but ran out of time. Mount Hood is an Hour drive. We had a great hike.
This home is so beautiful and such a great private place for relaxing. We unfortunately had a sick kiddo and did not get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked but everything exceeded my expectations from seeing it online. The view is spectacular of Mt. Hood and the property is so private and unique. They had everything and more that we needed and we felt very welcomed and taken care of by the hosts. The only thing that I would say is that the air conditioning cools the main part of house very well but the bedrooms still were very warm by the evening. With a baby it was just hard to keep him cool and comfortable but there are plenty of fans to help keep the bedrooms cool. Also, if you have a baby, bring blackout solutions for sleep. The guest bedroom was much darker than the master but we have a slumber tent and even with a fan going the tent got pretty warm for our son to sleep in. He was also sick though. So bringing something to put over the windows in the heat of the summer for little ones may be a better option. Overall, we would highly recommend the stay and would love to come back again.
Wonderful property that exceeded all of our expectations. Very comfortable and a view that is to be seen in person as pictures don't do it justice. The home is very well appointed with quality furnishings and has everything you would need. Our dog loved the place and Elizabeth had bowls and accoutrements available for the dogs. We will definitely be back!
