“By far one of the coolest places to stay for anyone who loves old mansions and history! Hosts were super accommodating with clear instructions! Absolutely loved the period decor to match the theme. Felt like we stepped back in time for a brief moment and definitely left fun, lasting memories! Easy parking. There are stairs involved to access upper levels. Anyone with skeletal issues - arthritis might want to stick with lower levels. Otherwise, absolutely wonderful! Thank you ”

“Shanara’s den is exactly a described.It is a warm, cozy and spacious area that is nicely decorated. All the comforts of home. Great neighborhood for walking. Shanara is very friendly and quick to respond. I will definitely be back and would recommend this to Anyone looking to stay in this area.”

“My wife and I had a hard time finding the property, I attempted to call the property owner through the phone number provided by VRBO and no one answered and the voicemail box was full. There were no clear markings identifying the property number, and the driveway was small and hard to locate (the last part is not the fault of the property owner, but explains our difficulty locating the property). There also was no carbon monoxide detector present in the home despite having a gas stove and gas……

“My wife and I were traveling from East Texas to our grandson's graduation in Charlottesville, VA. We were running late and did not arrive until 10. The check in was seamless and the property description was very accurate. Worked well traveling with our doodle. Property was clean and had lots of perks like, coffee, breakfast muffins and some candy. Cute little town and the house was located in a great residential neighborhood. I encourage you to book this property on your travels.”

“We loved staying in the Comic House! It felt like we were guests in our own private amusement park with the Marvel theme so artfully expressed. This house had all the comforts and conveniences of home plus we got to sleep in Wakanda, use Thor’s toilet paper and search for a Lego-sized Antman!”

“So peaceful and relaxing! House is clean, so cute and comfortable with everything you can ask for. Great communication with the host and they even left us some wonderful farm fresh eggs from their chickens. Definitely a place we will stay again.”
