Its a quiet cozy place great staff and great breakfast. Would reccomend for sure. Jas an elevator to get to rooms easily. Its very dated in decor but it was built in 1873 or at least thats when it was first licensed as a hotel. Very beautiful historic building

What a gem of a place. Wonderful staff who feel like friends. History and charm blended with some modern upgrades. Comfortable bed. Hot hot water in the shower. And coupons for breakfast at the hotel’s Roseline’s Cafe and at the ComeBackIn nearby- which has excellent food. I’ve already booked for my next visits in Madison.

Loved the historic atmosphere. Friendly staff. The only thing was that the water from the shower would only be hot even if it was set all the way to cold. I didn't mind it though. The drink tickets were a nice surprise too.

Super cute and clean room in a historic building with friendly, welcoming staff. They also offer a free breakfast entree at a neighboring restaurant (which was very good!) and a free drink for each guest at a neighboring bar. Free convenient parking in a lot right behind the building. We will be back!

The bathtub is amazing in room 24! The whole room is amazingly! Bed was super comfy, fireplace was cozy and was nice soaking in the tub and watching the fireplace. Bathroom was nice and clean, shower was good and hot. Kitchenette is nice and fridge kept our drinks cold. You get 2 free drinks at the bar downstairs which is a nice up north type of bar. Free breakfast in the morning was good, eggs, bacon and potatoes along with a few varieties of bread for toast. They had juice and water and a few other goodies. Staff was great, on our way out ran into a staff member and he took our room keys for us so we didn't have to stop in the lobby. We loved this hotel!! It was a little noisy and the train horn was loud but not bad. There were earplugs in the room but not really necessary. I personally didn't think it was any louder than any other hotel in the city. Will definitely be back!! Thank you hotel ruby marie for an amazing experience!!
