Great location, cute apartment

Great location, everything is near. You are literally in the heart of Madrid. Metro station, bus station...The best canolli and gelato across the street..lolI would stay there again.

Great stay in Madrid

Lovely, clean apartment in a convenient area to get around Madrid. An issue with the shower was dealt with quickly and efficiently by owner. Would recommend. The apartment could do with some instructions for guests such as how to get rid of rubbish.

Short but sweet...

We stayed two nights at Atoch Corner in 1E. It's great, well lit space with a great bathroom, bedroom, and living room/kitchen combination. We knew there'd be some street noise, but that's what we expected in the Los Letres area. We loved the proximity to greatvrestsurabts, taverns, Reina Sofia, and the Museo Prado.

Madrid Calle Atocha Vacation

We had a great visit to Madrid and really enjoyed our stay in the Atocha Corners unit. The hosts were very responsive and made the process very simple. The unit is located in walking distance to most major attractions as well as bus and subway routes. We would highly recommend this property to anyone spending time in the city.

Great but noisy in 1A.

The place was great clean and great location. Just loud at night. Would get a room that does not face the busy a street next time. We stayed in different room the first night that was perfect then had to move for the rest of the time to another room. As we were given the wrong room at first. Would have preferred the more secluded first room 1E.

Terrific property and location!

We enjoyed our stay in the literary quarter. The location was a perfect hub for what we wanted to experience in Madrid. The flat was clean, well appointed and the bed was comfortable. I'd love to return.

Beware: corporate entity

Before you book, know you’ll be dealing with a corporate entity, not an individual owner. We originally booked a five night stay. Payment for this type of ownership could not be made, apparently, on the VRBO site. So you’re given instructions to go to another corporate site. Once payment is accepted all communication goes through their madflats website. You’ll need your “locator code” to set up a username and password. We decided to add a night to our stay on the front end and were told this would have to be a separate reservation (hence 2 cleaning fees, although they only cleaned once at the end of our stay). So all communication on their site had to be done for each reservation. We were able to pay for the one night via the VRBO site. Strange. We requested airport pickup, but since our flight from London was an hour late the driver left. We tried calling madflats from the airport but the person answering didn’t speak English and hung up on us. The phone went unanswered on subsequent calls. Chatting on their site finally put us in touch and we were met at apartment. This person could not tell us how to use washer, but on an upper shelf in closet we found directions. Also, two chats to their site asking how to open safe went unanswered as did another chat wanting a pickup time for a return airport transfer. Apartment is okay, not bad but nothing special. Neighborhood is extremely loud very late into night(4:00 am) so close shutters and use white noise on your phone. We use VRBO quite a bit in Europe and the States. Be careful.

Great location, awesome view and beautiful flat.

He location was fabulous and we walked everywhere. The check in and check out process was so easy. We had excellent communication with the Madflats company and they thought of everything when setting up their space. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be in the centre of everything.

We fell in love with Madrid!

The apartment was perfect. Location was close to everything.. We found it so relaxing. Street noise was not a problem. We wished our stay had been longer! The only negative was the check-in process, which was very cumbersome; we were asked to repeatedly fill out paperwork prior to arrival. Suggestion: stock basics like salt and pepper, coffee/tea in the kitchen. Seems silly to have to buy those things for a 3-day stay.

Central location, bit noisy in wee hrs

Nice property in secure bldg. Had decent offerings in kitchen (coffee maker, microwave)but the outlet was literally hanging off the wal, unusable. Also, two of the three nights we stayed there were revelers outside on the street at 4 am, but perhaps the price one pays for being in a central area. close to museums, restaurants, metro. bus line,. bars--everything, really! Nice that the property had a combined washer and dryer, but NO or limited instructions for that or any suggestions on area restaurants, etc on brief info sheet provided by property. Spain was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time while in our Madrid, but perhaps providing suggestions and or instructions on a couple of languages other Spanish might be nice? The leasing agent was accommodating about letting us put out bags in flat earlier than 3 pm checkin so that we could sight see.

Great apartment high energy neighborhood

Really liked our apartment. We have college age girls who slepted on pull-out pretty noisy but room for us was o.k but this was a busy weekend maybe better during the week. The only other thought i have is we had to ask for wifi directions on washer ect... it would be nice to have allthis information in a book so we didn't have to bother management with this questions. I have to say communication was excellent!

Great place

We really enjoyed the apartment. Perfect location, close to everything. It is a bit noisy at nice but that is what you you have to expect when you at the city centre. The 4 french doors that open to the street were wonderful.
