Come for the location, stay for the nightmares!I’ve stayed in tents and hostels, but nothing prepared me for this. The “beds” had paper-thin sheets and pillows stuffed with what felt like crumpled napkins. No blankets. The AC? Strictly decorative—enjoy sweating through your napkin-pillow.The shower doors clung to life, mold thrived in every corner, and the walls were an art exhibit of scuffs, splatters, and even a shoe print (??). Half the outlets didn’t work, the TV was for show, and the couch was a Jackson Pollock of mystery stains. One toilet ran nonstop like it was training for a marathon, and there were no extra linens, barely enough toilet paper, and zero welcome amenities—not even coffee or water.The only saving grace was the location: shops nearby and cabs easy to hail (which, frankly, we used often to escape the apartment). Otherwise, bring your own sheets, Lysol, blankets, AC unit, hazmat suit, and sense of humor.

Wonderful location for us

So nice - away from the crush of the center, but plenty of entertainment and nice restaurants nearby. The property is newly renovated and spotless. It is a very compact 2BR but perfect for a place to return to after all day exploring Madrid.

Madrid stay

We were delighted with our stay in Madrid. The apartment was on the groud floor which we loved. It was clean and nicely decorated. Close to everything in old town. The market, palace, plaza mayor and cathedral. I will definitely stay there again!

Beautiful unit in a great location

Stayed at the unit with my wife and our college age daughters. Our check in process was incredibly smooth. Someone met us at the property and explained the features to us. The location is very convenient. There was a good spot around the corner to get coffee in the morning. Unit was perfect. Area felt safe. We walked to almost any destination with no issues. Plenty of restaurants in the area. My only issue with the unit at all is that the water heater seems to be on a timer. Based upon that if the timer is not bypassed by the owner then there is only enough hot water for two people to shower. The first night after two people showered and the third ran out of hot water I contacted the owner and he turned on the hot water again. The next night as we did not return too late everything was good. The following night only two people had hot water again and it ran out during the third persons shower. As it was very late I did not contact the owner and I did not shower thinking it just needed to heat up again. The next morning still no hot water and that is when I determined it is likely on a timer. A bitterly cold shower in winter was not a pleasant experience. PS, none of the showers were long ones. Despite this I would still stay in this unit again. I would just know to contact the owner regarding this issue up front.

Excellent rental property in Madrid, fantastic location and everything our group needed for our ten day stay. Easy walk to restaurants, the Metro and so many sites.

Great location!

Great stay; very central location; a bit a of a hike to a metro station, but local dinner options and its proximity to multiple great tourist sites made up for it; the beds were on the firm side, but very clean, and modern, and in a very cool, old building; can’t say enough about check in / out: despite my lack of Spanish, the owner and their team made sure that we had what we needed; very happy.

It has a great location, close to both the nightlife in La Latina and the historic cener of Madrid. The hosts have remodeled the property extensively, and it is very comfortable. The hosts went out of there way tk be helpful.

Ground level modern flat

This flat has a lot of charm with the decor and set up. It is right on the street but down an alley so you feel a little exposed but safe. It was quiet at night which allowed us to get plenty of rest each night. One of the bathrooms has a bathtub that you can take a nice relaxing bath in. Close to many restaurants and sightseeing experiences. Would stay here again!

Great central location

Compact but with ample room for our multigenerational family. Washing machine was a perk so we could pack lighter. Walkable to restaurants, cafes, shops and sights but on quiet street.

Incredible property in beautiful Madrid

The apartment was more than we could have hoped for. Beautiful accommodation in a safe, lovely neighborhood. Hosts Michel and Yadira were so incredibly kind and communicated every detail perfectly. The wonderful apartment and hosts helped to make our stay in Madrid a magical experience. Highly, highly recommend!!

Be aware of cameras

Overall this accomodations is okay. Chek in was fine, the host was friendly. When checking in we were told they had motion detector in the main room, but just used when the property was not occupied. Our last day, I was in the main room and a blinking light from this device kept blinking so I used my phone and took a picture to search what this was. These are cameras used to record us during our stay. I reached out to VRBO but they didn't seem to care, I have videos and pictures. Actually you can see them in the pictures of the apartment the owners have posted. This is unacceptable in my opinion and a bit violating. Shame on the property and VRBO. There was also a few cockroach but only like 3 or 4 so it is what it is.
