"Ich bin mit meiner Mama verreist. Wir fanden die Unterkunft schön und autenthisch. Leider war keine Klimaanlage vorhanden, wie es in der Beschreibung bei Expedia angegeben war. Der Gastgeber informierte uns jedoch, dass es eine Fehlinformation seitens Expedia sei. Das war auch in Ordnung für uns, es war zwar sehr warm aber mit offenen Fenstern ging es irgendwie. "Wonderful apartment, very cute and quiet village. Very clean, comfortable, safe. Communication excellent. I recommend you have a rental car. I didn't and it is a 15-min/ 1km hike up from the very reliable and inexpensive ferry and train. It took me (not young and used to the US suburbs) a day to get acclimatized to this - it is an alpine village. The town of Lierna and this apartment are perfectly suited to day hikers. "

Hotel Funicolare

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff."

"The property is beautiful, the pool area especially is magnificent on the lake. The wait staff are great and the bellman try nice but the people at the check in desk did not make an effort to make us feel welcome and they didn’t explain the amenities or give helpful information about the property. The restaurant/food is good. The main level is beautiful, but the bedrooms and especially the bathrooms need an update however everything is clean The showers in the classic rooms are tiny. We had a great stay all in all - would go there again."

"The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a very good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with lots of options and open until 10.30 which is good if you need a lie in. The pool on the roof was cold so we didnt stay long and the bar menu was limited but we enjoyed lounging up on the roof terrace"
