"Pros: beautiful pool that is very kid friendly with water slides and sandy fake beach pool. Daily room cleaning was excellent. Beautiful landscaping and grounds. Having a kitchen was great. Cons: some friendly staff, but many staff didn’t seem very friendly. Many don’t say hello or even smile, especially at the pool. Beware of hidden fees. We got the “included”breakfast but it was only for 2 people (kids are not free and cost an extra $14 each). The resort is far from the beach and other food options. Rent a car or you’ll be annoyed waiting for a shuttle all the time. "

"Visited during the Kona storm. Was not able to use pool as much as would have liked. The grounds of the property is beautiful even in the rain. Loved being able to watch the dolphins from my balcony every morning when drinking coffee and watching the rain."

"Location was perfect- close to pool, shopping and restaurants. Condo was clean and very well equipped. Made one non essential request upon check in and manager took care of it right away. "

"The unit was nice and tidy and spacious. It truly felt like a home away from home with it's warm ambience. The property was easy on the eyes and pool was easy to access. The shopping center was also just a few minutes walking distance so that was nice and convenient."

"I wish I had read the reviews before I stayed at Ocean Tower - the carpet was disgusting, stained couch, yellowed sheets and the air conditioning barely worked. The room was unbearably hot for sleeping. The kind staff was the only saving grace. I didn't mind all the walking but if you don't like to walk it would be a problem since the tram does not come often. "

"A really nice, well-equipped unit in an awesome location. We are never disappointed with our Waikoloa experiences and this was definitely up to par. Lots of positives like comfortability, strategic location, washer and dryer, and a nice pool. Would stay here again! Mahalo!"

"The host responded to any questions very quickly. It was a great place to stay with a soft and comfortable bed. Being in a gated community we felt very safe.The only negative about the amenities is that we had planned to use the washer and dryer but learned that there would be a 10 fee for that, which was not disclosed on the website, so we decided not to pay 10 to do a load of wash. In fact, the website indicated that the prices included all fees, and no hidden fees.So, we feel that the 10 washer use fee should be disclosed."
