"The building is old. The shower was broken and the toilet seat is loose. The building is in desparate need of attention, but i guess with little to no tourists visitng the country, it makes it dificult to invest in repairs and updates. The staff are great. They are polite and courteous. There really is nothing around the area. You'll have to cab or use grab app to get anywhere. I found it really difficult to find restaurants, there were a few listed as open by google maps, but they already...

"Expedia canceled the booking of my original hotel. They asked me to choose between 3 options to replace it, which I did in a timely manner. Despite my request, Expedia did not send me the booking for this new hotel on time. It was send to me after few hours I checked in another hotel that I have to look for muself. "This is the BEST affordable hotel I have found in Mandalay - I've tried at least 10. The facilities are very nice; the staff is excellent; the porters/bell boys are helpful without pushing; it is the shortest travel time I've had getting back to the airport; looking very forward to my return to Paragon next week! (I hope my review does not drive up the prices...). This would have been very nice if my wife could have been with me."
