Great stay close to the lake with easy access to everything

Loved all of the old built-ins
Had a great stay, beds and bedrooms were clean, spacious and comfy, loved the frig… kinda weird that we couldn’t flush anything down the toilet, like, toilet paper…… also, the basement needs a dehumidifier as it was really hard to enjoy the tv and game room as the smell of old basement was overpowering. We live in a very old farmhouse. The size of the house looked small from the outside but very nice and roomy inside!

Close to everything
We would have liked a TV upstairs,a Garbage disposal is mandatory . We would like rails on both sides of steps since they are very steep ,It would have helped to have access to the garage since it was difficult parking for more than one car . We also called VRBO to have a fan in the lower bedroom fixed never got a call back .

Thanks for your review, nevertheless would love to point out that the house was designed with only 1 TV in the basement rec room to encourage families to interact and spend more time together. We have driveway space for 3-4 vehicles and the reason why guests dont have access to the garage is because it’s used as boat storage. In regards to the fan we never got notification from you or VRBO about this call and I apologize for that, we will check into it and will get it fixed or replaced asap.

Great House
The house is just what you see in the pics. Very clean and well appointed. I would definitely rent this one again. Easy to get around the area and close to our extended family’s home. Very comfortable and the beds were comfy as well . Def a thumbs up 👍

We had a wonderful time staying at this home over Memorial Day weekend. Great location to visit area museums, the beach and parks. Five adults and two children, spacious rooms everything we needed. Excellent communication with host. There was so many things to do in the area, museums were high quality.

What a lovely home!
We enjoyed our weekend in Manitowoc. This home was beautifully decorated and very well appointed. Beds we used (only two of the 4 available) were very comfortable. Just a note about accessibility - two of the 4 bedrooms are second story and as was the tradition in older homes, the stairs are steep and narrow. Similarly, the enormous TV, game area and laundry are on the basement level with stairs. My husband and I are older folks getting wary of stairs, so we pretty much stayed on the main level which was enough for us! Just a consideration if you have mobility concerns. We thoroughly enjoyed the house - including the lovely "sun room" at the back of the house. I highly recommend this place!

Overall this home was nicely updated with lots of space and a stocked kitchen for preparing meals. New refrigerator, gas stove but no dishwasher or main level TV. Would definitely rent again. Great neighborhood!

Everything was neat and clean, very well decorated.
Property was very well organized and nicely stocked. The only area for improvement would be the need for a television in the main living room with local programming available. The need to go to the basement to watch television is not convenient.

Beautiful home with plenty of room
We loved our stay in Manitowoc. The home was recently remodeled but it maintained its classic Tudor style. The decor was beautiful and it’s evident that the owner wanted his guests to feel very comfortable.

Adorable Home
Property is as adorable as it appears in the listing. The location is perfect for activities in Manitowoc and Two Rivers. The only negative was the back yard was unkept. It didn’t impact our stay, but if you had kids it would be less than desirable for playing. There are so many wonderful places to eat and things to do in the area. If you are a gardener or just enjoy flowers, make sure to spend some time at West of the Lake. Ice cream lovers need to visit Cedar Crest Dairy. This was our third visit to this area and we always find something new to enjoy. This house made the perfect home base for us this year.

August Manitowoc
Mini vacation as a family of 8. Nicely updated property. Plenty of space for all of us except dining space together. Between the kitchen island and porch we made it work. We would've liked a TV on the main level to watch a movie as a family and screens on the windows on the porch or upstairs for some fresh breeze. The kids enjoyed the game tables and movies downstairs. The main living room and island worked perfect for card and board games. Wifi was an easy qr code. Location was convenient to visit the state parks, beaches, parks and groceries. A great stay, comfortable beds and layout. Host was very responsive for check in. Kitchen was amply stocked with dishes and utensils to cook for 8. We would definitely return.

We enjoyed having a place to bike from as well as a place to explore door county and Manitowoc as well. Great location... only one complaint....had to get used to loud cars at night because there is a stop light nearby. Otherwise it was great 👍

Great family getaway
This was a wonderful property for our extended family getaway. The location was close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The house was clean and we enjoyed the fenced in yard. The owner is quick with responses when you have questions. We would recommend this property to anyone.

The house is lovely with all the Tudor charm !!! House is very spacious has open concept just as it appears in listing. Nice neighborhood close to all attractions/actives. There is a very nice park just a couple of blocks south of the house. Street is busy but house was quite. The only reason i gave 3 stars on communication question was because there was none. I sent a message to owner when I reserved the house, but, never received any response back. We had no issues and did not need to contact him for any reason during the stay. The kitchen is very nice but could use some additional silverware,mixing bowls, storage bowls. Bath and kitchen towels, hand towels and wash clothes were adequate, but could use some additional of all. Trash receptacle in house and outside needs to be larger for long stays. We stayed a week and trash was over flowing by the time we left. I hated to leave that for someone else to handle. The back yard was fenced in nicely but needs some attention to really be enjoyable. It is listed with a fire pit but was not comfortable using it. It was a great vacation and would definitely return to area and house for another stay. Great house for a great price.

Small town perfection!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay just 5 minutes from the Lake and about 10 minutes from everything else in town. The house is exactly as pictured, and the property manager was as helpful as could be. Highly recommend.

Awesome Stay
My daughter and I, along with some friends with children, enjoyed our stay very much. There was plenty of space for our children to play, as well as space for the adults. The house was clean and well maintained, and the completely fenced in backyard was a nice escape for the children.

Beautiful home full of charm
The home was beautiful! Original aspects to the house with modern updates that complimented beautifully. Comfortable furniture and beds. Loved the screened in porch off the back, and didn’t hear the traffic from the street while in the house. Worked great for our group of ladies!

Comfortable House for Manitowoc Visit
The house is tidy as just as shown, with a sophisticated cozyvmodern style and a great layout with interesting built in storage and nooks and crannies like these older Tudor homes are known for. We found it roomy for our family and near enough to downtown Manitowoc and other places we wanted to see. A bonus was the school playground located just a walk ‘round the block. There are a couple nearby grocery stores too. We cooked and found the kitchen suited to our needs. The house is off a somewhat busy street but quiet when you are inside. The staircase leading upstairs is rather narrow and has no natural light (there is a light switch) so bear that in mind if you have trouble with stairs, and there are 2 br downstairs. There are no bathtubs, only showers, but that wasn’t an issue. The massage chair was a hit. Plan accordingly for your needs, overall a good flexible space for many age groups.

Peaceful Chic Property
The property was beautifully decorated and very peaceful. The only TV is located in the basement so if you're not good with stairs it may not be the best option. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and we had a great time.

Family gathering for a wedding
The house was perfect for our needs. We had 8 adults and teens. Good seating for a group in the family room and we loved having coffee on the back porch in the mornings. The game room and big screen in the basement were a hit for entertainment. House was freshly renovated and had a modern artistic decor. The 2 main bathrooms were beautiful! No dishwasher, but everyone helped so it wasn’t a big deal.

Great stay in Manitowoc
We very much enjoyed our week here. The location is centrally located in Manitowoc, and with three young kids we especially enjoyed the short two block walk to the water park and a nice playground. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house is nicely updated. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to Manitowoc.

The house was just as advertised. We enjoyed our stay very much. I highly recommend this house, it was very clean and within a mile from Lake Michigan and a beautiful walking trail! Bar stools as the only option for sitting at a table was a bit of a challenge for the "senior" members of the family. Those senior members did miss having a TV on the main floor. We knew this in advance, but a TV option on the main level of the house would have been nice. Thank you

Great Property and Host
Very nicely renovated older home in a central location for your visit to Manitowoc. The host was very responsive to the couple of questions we had. The listing accurately represents the property which is well equipped with everything we needed. I was concerned that having to back onto Waldo Blvd would be more of an issue but most days it wasn't a problem. A television in the main living area would have been icing on the cake since that is where we spent the majority of our time.
