Overall, it was good. It’s an older property, but was reasonable well maintained. Area is good for restaurants and amenities. Hotel restaurant was okay and seafood restaurant was good but very expensive. I would stay there again, if for a short visit.

Hotel Marbella has the potential to be an amazing hotel. It is in a great location - right on the beach, 2 beautiful pools, AC and a restaurant. It is in dire need of some updating and a thorough cleaning. On a side note: it would be nice if the cleaning staff could respect the “do not disturb” signs.

The room was good. The restaurant was nice. The views were spectacular at times for the sunset. My issue there was I misplaced my envelope full of money at the small shop in the back, and I suspect the lady running the small business took the money. I did ask the hotel staff and restaurant staff. I could have only lost between purchasing merchandise from the lady in the small store to the restaurant. I suspect the lady because she was absent the next couple of days (Monday and Tuesday), which is not her typical schedule. I lost a couple of hundred dollars' worth of Mexican Money. The second thing I did not appreciate was that there were some large cockroaches that came up from the concrete area around the pool, and I found it gross, so I squished them with my shoes and chose to spend the remainder of my visit in my room. I kind of feel like the staff did not care that I lost money in an envelope. I don't think I'd go back.

Staff was excellent, rooms were kept clean.only negative item was that the ad for the trip clearly stated that there was a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel,but there wasn't!we were at the mercy of high rates of taxi costs from the airport to the hotel!we were told that there hadn't been any shuttle service for years!!the hotel should update this info on their ads!Plus a lack of small coolers to keep items cool in the rooms!But everything else was great,Staff was excellent!!
