The farm was just as I remembered growing up. A big adventure for the children we walked, the children rode bikes, played basketball. Enjoyed the cool mornings and evenings we are from Texas so you can understand no humidity. There were a few hot days inside and out. Barbara was a great host was available to answer any questions. We would definitely visit again.
This is one fantastic place to stay!
The farmhouse was used for a couple decades to raise 4 kids who helped with the many different types of vegetables and fruits grown on the 200 acre farm. Alfalfa and Corn are mostly grown now. The owners are still taking care of the farmhouse and have made improvements such as an extremely space age modern bathroom and the kitchen is perfect. The other bathroom brings you back in time and works great!
We loved the whole working farm experience which was extremely quite and serene.
We had a great time visiting with my friends from Missouri. We enjoyed the country atmosphere and seeing the agriculture in the area.
Barb was very easy to communicate with and a gracious
host.
The farm house was a great place for us to use during our visit to southeast Colorado. It was quiet, had amazing views of the sunrise and sunset, lots of wildlife to enjoy, filled with a large number of amenities, and close to nearby towns. We will definitely want to stay again. The only item for some guests to be aware of is there is an awesome clawfoot tub - perfect for the house, but for those with some balance or step height issues they would want to have help for stepping in and out.
This is a spacious farm house in a quiet setting among large shade trees. We loved watching and listening to the trains go by about a half mile away. The house is rustic and spacious, lots of room for family members to each have their own space. We were in the area for a family reunion and the house was perfect for our needs. Barb, the owner, was great to work with. We had a small issue and she personally came to the house immediately and took care of it to our satisfaction. Great customer service! Thank you!
Overall, the house and property were ok. My main gripe is that the listing states that the house sleeps 8, with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house sleeps 6, with three bedrooms and one bathroom. Our party of 8 were very uncomfortable at night because we had to sleep on the floor and sofa, which is ultimately not what we paid for. For a party of 6, though, this would be great.
A great cozy little farmhouse. I would highly recommend it.
Amazing. Cozy, comfortable, quiet, convenient.

Spacious, bright country house with room for family
The owner was willing to let me host Thanksgiving dinner for extended family at the house, which worked beautifully for local family members and for those of us from out-of-town who stayed at the house for the weekend. The house features a lot of family and farm history, with antique and farm-inspired furnishings, and there is lots to see on a stroll of the surrounding farm. We'll doubtless return for another stay!
