Home with swimming pool, La Rochelle and the Marais Poitevin, for 2 to 5 people.
In a quiet location, this 70m² flat comprises a fully-equipped kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, fridge and freezer), a living room and a bedroom, as well as a bathroom and separate toilet. With its comfortable sofa bed, the living room can be converted into a second separate bedroom. This accommodation is ideal for two people, but a family of up to five will also find all the space they need! The following are available
- one 140 cm bed
- a 120cm bed
- two 90cm bunk beds (in the living room) or a sofa bed.
A high chair and baby bath are also available.
The accommodation is attached to the owner's house. It has its own terrace and access to the swimming pool (shared with the owners). Garden furniture with parasol and barbecue are available in a pleasant and peaceful setting. Sun loungers are also available. Wifi access (fibre) is provided.
Towels and bed linen are provided for stays of 7 days or more. For short stays, towels and sheets are available for hire: €10 for a pair of sheets and €5 for bathroom linen (a small and a large towel, and a flannel).
The accommodation is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
The accomodation is located on the outskirts of the village, with shops close by in the town centre (bakery, butcher's, tobacconist's and newsagent's), as well as small and medium-sized supermarkets (Aldi 100 m away, Intermarché 1 km away and Super U 2.5 km away). A launderette is also available 200m away (on the other side of the roundabout).
Our location is ideal for La Rochelle, the beaches of the Vendée and the islands of Ré, Oléron and Aix, as well as the Venise Verte. The Futuroscope, Puy du Fou, Château des Aventuriers and O'Gliss Park are all nearby theme parks.

Une Piscine Bien Nécessaire
La propriété est idéalement située, à environ 20 minutes en voiture de la belle ville de La Rochelle. Notre hôte, Nicole, était très serviable et toujours disponible puisqu'elle habite à côté. Comme nous avons eu une chaleur exceptionnelle pour la région, la piscine était essentielle et le point fort de la propriété. Elle était impeccablement propre et bien entretenue tout au long de notre séjour.

An Unforgettable and Relaxing Escape: A Perfect Holiday Retreat
We had such a wonderful relaxing time here, that we cannot recommend it enough. The pictures really don't do the glorious location justice and it is much better in real life.
The accommodation was clean and easy to care for. It has everything you would need and there is a supermarket just across the road for supplies, which we found very useful.
It was an excellent point to start from for exploring the area and we found Marans, La Rochelle and the local water park of O'Gliss all very enjoyable day trips. When you are not exploring the local area it is a very relaxing place to just chill out and enjoy the pool or a walk along the fields and canals nearby. We saw hares, hoopoes and egrets to name a few. The sunsets are amazing. It was by far the best and most relaxing holiday we have ever had.
Our hosts could not have been more friendly and kind and accommodating. They respected our privacy and we respected theirs, but they were also there to help with anything and also to ensure that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back! We can't recommend this holiday home / gite enough!

Excellent break
The property and swimming pool were spotlessly clean, the kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom and shower rooms recently decorated to a high standard, with exceptional plumbing and modern design. I thoroughly recommend this property for a peaceful family getaway. I was accompanied by two of my children on this trip but plan a return with my husband, as this property works perfectly for a couples retreat also. Thank you Nathalie for a wonderful stay.

Correcte ontvangst door de eigenaars, met respect voor de privacy van de gastverblijver, maar steeds bereikbaar indien nodig. Zeer net verblijf met alle nodige voorzieningen. Mooie omgeving voor wie van natuur houdt. Ons verblijf stemde overeen met onze verwachtingen.

Super gîte pour visiter la région
le gîte est très calme, confortable, bien équipé (sauf machine à laver le linge , mais pas un souci pour quelques jours)

Gite with French influence
we had an excellent week with Olivier and Nathalie who were friendly and understanding. the gite was the only one on the site and was connected to the hosts main house. we shared a pool with the hosts and were able to have swim every day. the gite was advertised for up to 5 persons but there was only two of us so loads of space. nice big rooms (for 2) and a decent fridge and freezer. great location for exploring Niort and La Rochelle plus the local area

Logement bien, mais sans intimité
Bien que l’endroit était effectivement calme et en dehors du village de Marans, nous avons néanmoins manqué d’intimité et de tranquillité en famille, la terrasse étant contiguë avec celle du propriétaire et sa famille, et sans séparation. Le partage de la piscine ne s’est pas trop mal passé. A noter encore que le logement n’a pas de chambres séparées, ce qui n’apparaît pas clairement sur les photos, tout comme la proximité du logement du propriétaire.
