“This was an interesting place. it is not a typical hotel being a 'co-living' centre with several long stay options as well as short stays. It is to the north of the city centre but within easy reach of tram and bus. The room was clean, comfortable and while not luxurious had all that could be asked. There is no restaurant or bar but the Halle Bacalan is a 10 minute walk away with a range of food bars. Breakfast is self service and fine. The staff were friendly and helpful providing advice……

“The hotel is old but updated, although lack of a lift might be difficult if you're on an upper floor. No tea/coffee in room but the manager was gracious in allowing me to just have coffee in the morning. and breakfast was only continental but pastries and fruit were fresh. Hotel is on the right bank but the tram is very convenient and very close to the bridge so an easy walk to the left bank and shops etc. So a lot of "buts" but I was happy with my choice to stay there.”

“This property offers the perfect combination of apartment living(no kitchen) and boutique hotel. Units are located in tastefully renovated French mansion with modern finish. “As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful.
The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.”

“la chambre était impeccable et de très bonne tenue. Nous étions venu pour des obsèques. Un regret quand a la rigidité des horaires. J’avais demandé à la personne sur place un départ tardif pour 13h qui nous a été refusé sous prétexte que la chambre était prise après et que cela dérangeait son calendrier. Je peux comprendre mais après vérification sur les sites de réservation il s’avère que cette chambre était disponible… Le Peu de considération et ce petit mensonge gâche un peu le séjour.
