Our new favourite in Marrakech. We shall book here again without hesitance. Perfect hosting, thank you Farroukh, Abdul, Rashid, and everyone else.
Extremely accommodating, friendly staff. Beautiful riad, close to gates and walkable from Medina
Honestly couldn’t have wished for a better stay. There are tons of riads and we searched far and wide
After we booked it a few people had said they didn’t like the area which worried it but couldn’t be further from the truth - the area is great, very accessible for taxis and only a short walk to all the action. Felt very safe
The Riad itself is absolutely stunning, even better than the photos. We liked to go out so it was easy to leave but you have everything you need there and more. It’s very chilled with lots of staff to make your stay special, not small but not big with only a few people so feels like your own special place - shout out to Farouk for making our stay special
Road Charai was absolutely lovely from start to finish. When we arrived we were greeted with Moroccan tea and biscuits, shown to our room in which they upgraded us with no extra cost to a deluxe suite room, and told about the lunch and dinner services they provide. Staff were lovely and attentive, breakfast was included every morning consisting of pastries, coffee and omelette. The pool space was very chilled and the rooftop loungers quiet. The riad is situated close to the outskirts of the medina wall so it was a short walk to taxis and small shops/stalls. Would highly recommend for a short stay in a more traditional accommodation than your usual hotel.
Had 3 fantastic nights at the riad. Place was clean, staff is super friendly. Located at the old town (Medina), which is around a 20 min walk to the souks, 20 min walk to the jardin majorelle.
Great experience.
Pleasure staying at the hotel. The staff is very helpful and easy to communicate with. Nice positioned in a quiet area in the medina and close to the ring road. Absolutely recommendable
My stay at Riad Charai was very pleasant, homely feeling, and relaxing. The use of stairs for higher floors could possibly be taken into consideration for those who cannot climb stairs

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
We stayed in the Laurier room. For the price we paid, this room was not worth at all. It was extremely basic. There were other rooms that were spacious and provided a more authentic feel. The staff were friendly and helpful, but didn’t bother going above and beyond to make us feel special. For eg, they didn’t explain why we had two keys. We later found out that the second key was for the outside door. One of the days, we had to leave early and they didn’t ask if they could pack us breakfast or help us in anyway. The room itself was okay, bathroom shower wasn’t efficient and it was steaming up very quickly. Internet in the room was poor. Breakfast was sometimes cold. Overall, the stay was average for the price. Paid close to 500 euros for 3 nights. We later found out that there were better roads closer to the square for cheaper price.
Dreamy Riad , breathtaking decor , amazing staff serving amazing food. We stayed for 3 nights wish we had booked longer.
They organised spa treatments for us also and transfers.
We stayed to celebrate my 50th birthday and the staff sang to me and gave me cake , such a lovely gesture and I felt so special.
It’s more towards the north of the medina so about 20-30 minutes walk to the square and many of the restaurants I wanted to visit but with maps we managed the medina very well , enjoying the narrow streets and souks. All part of the experience I came for.

The riad common area’s are beautiful and very traditional. Breakfast is basic and light. The area wasn’t great in my opinion. It’s located right beside the north wall of Marrakesh old town which is about a 20 minute walk from the Medina. This was mostly fine but we did encounter issues with local scammers threatening us to pay them after following us while walking home claiming to be ‘offering their time to direct us’. If this is your first time in Morocco and your not used to the common tricks these obnoxious hustlers do, then I would recommend staying closer to the medina (if you want the old town experience) or in proper hotel in the new town, as this is less likely to happen in the touristy areas from what I saw. Also, the hotel offer dinner on the first night through message after you book. As we arrived around dinner time we asked if they could prepare for us about 3 days before. When we arrived they didn’t know what we were talking about when we mentioned it. This was annoying as the riad doesn't have a make to order restaurant, you need to give them a lot of notice.
Quando voltar quero me hospedar novamente neste hotel
Super accueil ! Le personnel est à vos petits soins.
Emplacement un peu loin des souks et de la place Jemaa el fna mais c’est aussi l’occasion de petites ballades au travers des ruelles.
Seul petit bémol : Un peu bruyant le matin.
