“We booked Lalla Soulika as a last minute stay due to unforeseen circumstances. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by staff as well as the two house dogs! The grounds and building were extremely well maintained, thoughtfully and beautifully decorated and felt magical. This theme continued into our room - we were generously upgraded into a large apartment which felt instantly calming. As we had been on the go and moving locations every one or two days for our Europe trip, this apartment forced……

“This six room boutique Hotel was simply incredible. It is important to know that you are in the Medina, the Old City. It is chaotic, raw, busy and not easy to navigate in terms of accessing the property. That said if you are looking to experience the “old city”, this property will be your luxurious retreat in the middle of it all. Let me start with the wonderful staff that took care of us while we were there. Jawad and Abdullah (and other staff) treated us with a level of service and kindness……

“Absolutely horrible! This is the worst room we have booked in the last 20 years. I have traveled to more than 70 countries around the world and this is by far one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in! BEWARE! The location is terrible - in the middle of a dead area in Tangier and you have to go up either a tons of steps or down a tons of steps. You cannot get a taxi to your room, you will need to climb up or down many stairs. We waited outside of the place for 45 minutes for someone to show……

“Unfortunately, this hotel was nothing like what was advertised. The photos are misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property, inside or outside. During our stay we experienced no Wi-Fi, bathroom doors that would not close, ripped sheets with cigarette burns, stained chairs, broken electrical sockets, a fridge that didn't work, rust throughout the hotel, poor cleanliness and a clear lack of maintenance. The breakfast was extremely basic and repetitive, far below what you……

“Excellent location and really friendly staff. However there is not air conditioning in the room, only a fan. The area is noisy because it is central but the window is double glazed and has a shutter which helps. The staff helped us with finding a place to do our laundry and it was two minutes walk. They also arranged a taxi to the airport and helped us until last moment. Upen check-in you need to pay city tax, this is everywhere, just fyi. Place has stairs and no lifts just fyi. The rooftop……
