Great Glacier Vacation
The home had everything a traveler could possibly need. The kitchen was fully stocked, coffee, tea condiments, spices. Even had 1 bedroom set up with toys to keep a child entertained. Now let’s talk about location, literally 8 miles from the West Glacier entrance, doesn’t get much better than that. I could go on and on, bear spray, whistles, coolers, ice packs for the cooler, more linens than you could ever use, great stove, coffee maker, dishwasher and all top of the line appliances. A nice big screen TV to relax at the end of a busy day. Over the top in every way.

Charming House - Solitude in the Woods
There is so much to love about the "Hillside House"! Clean and VERY quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with many extra plates, pots 'n pans, spices, coffee, utensils; excellent newer appliances. There was an great selection of almost new towels. The amazing gas fireplace in living room was so efficient we never used the house heat even when temps were in the 40°s outside. There are beautiful hardwood floors, pleasing decor, games, books, throw pillows. There is excellent internet service - no television but who comes to Montana to watch tv? The grounds were lovely and well maintained. The location, just 1.4 mi. off the main highway is about 10.5 mi. to the West Glacier NP entrance. There are nearby restaurants just east on the main highway and even a little grocery store just west. Our favorite nearby restaurant was Glacier Taphouse and Pizza. Super 1 Foods, a large, modern supermarket, is ~11 mi. west in Columbia Falls, and open 24/7 (thank you Kate!). Nearby towns such as Kalispell and Whitefish are fairly close if you're not exploring the parks. Whitefish has many restaurants and shops, and an iconic working rail depot and museum, plus live theater productions. If you're in Kalispell, we highly recommend touring the Conrad Mansion Museum. Lastly, our communication with our host, Kate, was fantastic! Before, during and at the end of our stay, she was always there for us, responsive, cordial and unobtrusive. Thank you Kate!

Wonderful Home Near Glacier

Perfect for our family of 5
We so enjoyed our stay here! Kate was great! We had a small issue with the refrigerator when we first arrived and it was attended to right away.We appreciated the bear spray and cooler that were already in the house, as we did not have to purchase them ourselves. The house was immaculate well organized, and full of extra touches. Lots of memories made here!

Hillside House near Glacier
This house was a perfect stay for our family trip to Glacier. The house looked exactly as pictured. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the quiet mornings and evenings. Even saw a doe and fawn and a hen turkey with her babies. The host, Kate, kept us well informed of the wildfires nearby.

Great experience and amazing host.
We loved staying at the Hill house in Martin City. It is a great property and well taken care of. Beautiful setting, quiet, and clean. The proximity to Glacier NP is so convenient. I could go on and on about the house. It is definitely a 5/5. Beyond that, we can’t thank our host, Kate, enough. She took care of all that you’d expect and more. Our battery died in the Glacier and she was nice enough to shuttle our family from the park to the house (twice due to size of vehicle) even making a stop for us to pick up food. We can’t say enough about her and her family. Wonderful people. If you’re looking for caring people to host your family vacation, this booking/property for you. When we return, we won’t stay anywhere else.

Andrew that is so kind, and I do hope you get to visit Glacier again. The stop for food was perfect - I didn't even realize the DIscovery Center had started serving pizza - we are going to try it tonight!

Great house in an amazing location
The property and house were beautiful and had everything we could need. Just eight miles outside of the west entrance of Glacier National Park, it was a great home base for visiting the park for a few days. Kate was a great host and had lots of recommendations for us. Would definitely stay again!

Well-stocked, very clean and adorable little place
This house was so well-equipped with everything we needed. The host really goes above and beyond to provide such nice little touches for her renters, right down to little travel-size make-up removers in the bathrooms! Didn’t have to worry about things like toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, soaps, etc. Everything was on hand! Very cute, cozy and clean little place. We even picked and ate some huckleberries from the yard! The days of our stay were so jampacked with hiking that I only wish we had more time to enjoy this sweet space we rented! Beautiful home
Everything about our stay in this home was wonderful. Attention to details was amazing. My 4 sisters and I stayed 4 nights. Short drive to West entrance of Glacier National Park. Kate and her husband John were super hosts and very easy to contact. Made our stay a vacation to remember.

Wish we could live here!
Very nice spacious house! Super clean with all of the amenities we needed for 6 people. Kate was great, very helpful and available for questions. The house is close to the park but yet secluded, I would highly recommend this place.

Perfect place for Glacier
The house was bigger and nicer than the pictures show. It was convenient to the west side of Glacier National Park. The beds were super comfortable. The host, Kate, checked in on us, and even showed us how to find huckleberries. The house even.had its own yrails that meander throigh the property. All the amenities made making meals extremely easy. We recommend Hillside House!

An Ideal Location for our Family
We loved our stay. We had four adults and a 20-month old baby and the house was spacious and comfortable. There were even toys and a child sized rocking chair for the baby - an unexpected bonus! The kitchen was very well stocked with condiments and all of the supplies we needed to prepare meals during our 3-night stay. Kate stopped by to make sure everything was going well and the check-in and check-out process were very easy. I would highly recommend this property.

Very nice stay at Hillside House
Clean and big enough for us all to have enough space. Four adults and a child. Convenient to west entrance of Glacier. Kate was available as we needed to ask anything. Grateful for the bear spray to borrow. Loved the outdoor part of the property too. We really enjoyed our stay!

Secluded yet close to Glacier
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very nice and almost like a cabin in the woods. We had a ground squirrel that liked to make sure we saw him every morning and even saw a pair of new-born fawns with their mom one afternoon after returning on a hike at Glacier. Its really close to the West Entrance, and the kitchen made it really nice to prep for the evening meals and make sandwiches for the next day's events. A few of us took advantage of the small libraries on a rest day and visited in the nice living room. It was nice to listen to the forest from the deck while enjoying the morning coffee. It was a great place to stay and I'll definitely keep it in mind when we plan our next trip. Thanks.

Perfect Place for Family of 5

A quiet nature retreat
The quietest green space for a getaway. Down a country road, way off the beaten path. This is just what we needed to refresh. Beds were great, we slept like babies. It was so quiet and dark. We loved it. If we ever come back, will definitely stay again.

Secluded Tranquility
The five of us thoroughly enjoyed the house. Cozy and spacious. John quickly responded come by and fix the new shower. One of the best things about the house was being so close to the Park. We will definitely be back.

Girls Trip
Kate’s house was perfect for our girls trip to Glacier National Park. SUPER close to park’s west entrance and the house had everything we needed. Enjoyed a lot of time out on the patio amongst the trees and the kitchen had all of right tools to cook dinner in every night. Bonus…great coffee and coffee maker! Really helped make our time in Montana memorable.

Perfect location for West Glacier Entrance
The house was wonderful and the property owner was great to communicate with. It was 8 miles from the entrance to the national park at West Glacier. The master bedroom bathroom shower was incredible. The house is really comfortable, and clean. The owner provided condiments in the fridge and more importantly bear spray! And there was a drawer full with baggies for sandwiches and reusable containers. A great setting.

Wonderful getaway
If you’re looking for a secluded quiet getaway, yet convenient to Glacier NP, this is the place. You are surrounded by nature here. Fantastic property for GNP people!
If you are wondering how to stay in close proximity to Glacier National Park without having to stay in the park, look no further than Hillside House. I can’t say enough good things about this property! It was the perfect amount of space for our family of four. It is quiet, private and peaceful. Kate was just awesome to work with, always available to answer all my questions both about the property and the area itself. So, if you are wondering whether or not to book this property, as someone who has stayed here I say go for it! Thank you so much, Kate! P.S. I live in an area of the country where we have the AC on all the time. At Hillside we were able to open the windows overnight and let in that cool mountain air and smell the fabulous spruce…..that smell is better than any candle :)

Fantastic property!

Great home in a private setting
We loved staying here and enjoyed the serenity of the area. We even saw a black bear when we first arrived! The owners were very nice as well. Very close to the park as well. Would definitely recommend!

Great location!!
My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and a day afterwards. It was the perfect location halfway between Glacier National Park and the Kalispell airport. Which happened to be the only 2 places we went. Kate was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. We would happily stay here again when we come back for our anniversary! :)

Book Kate’s Place!!
This was the PERFECT place for our quick weekend getaway to Glacier. It is super close to the park which makes a day trip in easy. And Kate has thought of every detail to make your stay so enjoyable. Her place is bought fully put togehter and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with quality supplies. The bedding is cozy for chilly Montana nights and our baby enjoyed the toys in the “kids room”. We also so enjoyed the fireplace, made for a wonderful evening relaxing with family. Booke Kates place, you won’t regret it!

The BEST!
We had 6 of us staying for the week and the house was perfect! It was very, very clean! The kitchen was well stocked (especially happy to find an awesome crockpot), plenty of towels & linens & comfortable beds. The natural light you get here was so nice to have & the front porch was a huge plus! We could easily get to West Glacier, Columbia Falls, Whitefish & Kalispell. Would absolutely recommend this property! The owners were super easy to contact & so nice!!! Very grateful for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful home, great location.
This home was very near the entrance of Glacier National Park. It was well maintained and well decorated. There were 2 couples staying at the home. There was plenty of room. We enjoyed the pretty fireplace in the evening. Overall the home enhanced the ease of our visit to the park.

Great place to stay for a visit to Glacier NP
Great house to stay at if you want to be away from other houses, but be able to get to Glacier NP quickly. I stayed for 4 nights, with my wife, 3 kids, and my mom. The house had plenty of space for us all for sleeping, hanging out, and in the kitchen. I would stay here again.

Perfect getaway
We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was great for exploring the area. The house was extremely clean and well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. This was a great stay for our trip to Glacier. Plenty of space, comfy beds, awesome showers. We took advantage of the stocked kitchen and made our own meals. The property manager was helpful and responsive. Would stay here again.

Perfect for our quick stay
This home is clean, comfortable and very close distance to Glacier National Park. The homeowner was wonderful and even contacted us immediately to tell us that my son had left his stuffed animals at the home. All kitchen appliances you could want are there, as well as coffee and condiments. Maybe one addition I would make is that there wasn't any shampoo. That would have been great, but not a big issue and we loved our stay (and maybe that was our mistake!). We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Kate!

The property was beautiful - surrounded in trees and flowers. Kate added special touches throughout like a candy jar and a solar lit porch. The house was only about 10 minutes from the West Glacier entrance - very convenient! The only thing missing was a TV - I didn't miss it but my husband did :-)

Family of 6 vacation!
Fantastic property! Exceeded our needs! The kitchen is very large (and well stocked) as is the deck at this secluded location that is close to the West Glacier entrance. Very pleased to have 2 1/2 bathrooms that included 2 showers with master shower being quite large. Short drive to Columbia Falls and Whitefish. The host, Kate, was very available for us with quick answers to questions and suggestions for any/all things local. Would highly recommend this property😀
