HOTEL STENDHAL

8/10 Good

"The general appearance of the hotel was good and very convenient for the town. The downside of this hotel was that a short distance away was one of the main town green spaces and at night it was a gathering place for lots of single non-Italian males who were drinking. It actually felt slightly unsafe. In the early hours you could hear noise, shouting and on more than one occasion they were urinating in public. I saw one of the locals getting very annoyed with one of them. I would say this has nothing to do with the hotel and is something the local town needs to address urgently. Without this I would have given the hotel 5 stars. During the day, the area had been cleaned and was actually very pleasant and safe. Town is beautiful with a great family friendly vibe."

"Though the hotel rooms could use a little refreshing with paint touch up, etc., it was a nice place to stay. The hotel is proximate to the train station and walkable to the historic center. The room was spacious, but it did smell a little musty and the room locations were a bit bewildering. However, the staff was friendly, the lobby and seating areas were very nice and the hotel is in a quiet location but convenient to everything. We'd definitely stay again."

"Our suite, Room 2. on the second floor was incredibly spacious. The sleeping area was huge with a street view with a side view of the Domo and Baptistry. The bathroom was nice with a relaxing rain shower. My wife particularly enjoyed the mini kitchen on the side of the room with hot water kettle and refrigerator. The staff was very welcoming and gave wonderful service. Our maid did an excellent job cleaning our room. Some street noise with the windows open, but as soon as you close them, nice and quiet. A very wonderful stay - highly recommend."
