“What a beautiful location for a lodge! The lodge itself was well presented and clean with everything you would need, but by far the best things are the views and the peace. You are only 15mins away from Keswick. We will definitely be back.”

“We absolutely loved staying at Roger’s home in Keswick! The three of us had plenty of room, all of the amenities we needed, and a beautiful garden courtyard to spend time together. It is a nice walk on a footpath to town, and a short distance to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Roger was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for our stay in this gorgeous area. We hope to get back there again!”

“The property was in a beautiful location and inside was lovely and clean. Also everything you need in the cupboards Garden area was great and a lot of the farm animals came to say hello Nice walks nearby and other lovely places to visit by car. Would recommend people who are looking for a peaceful stay especially if you have a dog”

“This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back.”

“Beautiful house, very well equipped and perfect for big groups / two families. Multiple living spaces meant kids could separate from grown ups! We plan on returning.”

“So happy we found this place, it was perfect. We are a family of 6, youngest being 19. The living space was huge with plenty of seating for us all. Bonus having the TV for the evening. Perfect location, close to everything. Lovely early morning doggy walk to the lake. All the home comforts. Comfy beds, bonus 2 bathrooms. Everything we wanted to see was so close. Would I come again, absolutely. Thank you”

“A really lovely place to stay! The studio is lovely, a really comfortable space and very clean and in a lovely location. We were greeted by Lee a lovely guy and happy to help with any questions we had. We would happily stay there again! ”

“A very nicely refurbished cottage with all necessary equipment and appliances. 50 metres walk to the mostly deserted beach. Not much to do in Powfoot itself, so driving is essential. Caravan park cafe very good and Powfoot hotel good if you don't have a dog.”

“The cottage is so homely and had everything you needed! Definitely a home from home. Hot tub was a fantastic edition. We also used the pizza oven one evening. Both bathrooms had powerful and hot showers. The host was very attentive and responded within hours of sending a message. Location is just picture perfect, with Ennerdale Water a 2 min drive away with plenty parking. There isn’t much else to do, other than walk at the lake, it was very quiet and peaceful. There are 2 pubs within walking……

“We used this cute little cottage as a stop off on the way to Scotland. Loved the views from the garden and having breakfast on the terrace while watching the sheep with their lambs. Close enough to Keswick for amenities but far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet.”
