"Pros: Das schmucke und sehr saubere Häuschen entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Es ist sehr schön gelegen in einem kleinen Ortsteil von San Bernardino, nur wenige Kilometer oberhalb des Sees. Von hier aus erreicht man zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten in kurzer Zeit. Sollte man mit Hund reisen empfiehlt sich ein Besuch des Hundestrandes am Lago di Mergozzo, nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Das absolute Highlight waren jedoch die tollen Gastgeber. Hotel Royal

10/10 Excellent

"Loved the hotel, surrounded by beautiful rose bushes! Stayed in room 341 with gorgeous lake view. Breakfast was great. The only thing is that's about a 20 minute walk to Stresa, however, the walk is beautiful along the lake. Highly recommend."

Hotel Della Torre

4/10 Poor

"Location is OK as long as you are prepared to walk about 1 KM each way to the center for a restaurant. Breakfast was OK but the waiters will not fill up the buffet unless you remind them to do so. AC didn’t work on the first day and barely worked after it was “fixed” We are at the end of a month long vacation in Italy and honestly, this was the worst hotel we stayed in so far. No, I will not recommend the Della Torre hotel in Stresa to my friends."

"La Palma was amazing! We stayed 2 nights in Stresa and absolutely loved this place. The crown jewel was the rooftop pool with an amazing view, and though it was a bit too cold to use the beach club pool by the lake, I can imagine it's an amazing experience as well. Parking on site, breakfast included, and perfectly located within the town. Will definitely stay here again!"

"Very old hotel with rooms that were incredibly small and did not match the expectations we had after seeing the pictures. Upon check-in, we weren't given a wifi passcode or informed that breakfast was included with our room. Checkout was at 11am, and by 11:05am, the receptionist was knocking vigorously on our door, rudely telling us we had to leave immediately. For the record, everything was already packed, we just needed to close our suitcase. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel"
